Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 10, 2025January 10, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 BROWN MORN raced on Wednesday at Ascot where he parked three deep the trip in a fast run 1800m and fought on strongly into third behind Sail Session and Barra Mundy. 4 days later he’s on the quick spin over a staying trip and that should see him hard to beat. SPANISH KAT looms as the obvious danger. Ridden by a claiming apprentice at his last three and now a well noted front running senior goes on. SNIFFY TIFFY is a one paced staying type of mare. BEEJAY BOY is hitting the line alright. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – BROWN MORN WIN RACE 2 ZED HOT EXPRESS trialled like a nice filly and she ran on well into third on debut behind North Face and stablemate Magical Sequence. She’s drawn to get a nice run here, can (hopefully) take up a nicer spot in running and think she’s got a bit of upside. MAJESTIC PRINCESS finished second to subsequent Saturday winner Shmoov Moova at her first outing for Luke Fernie. Commands plenty of respect. HELL’S CITI was first-up no trial so naturally improves. VENTURO promised a lot early but never delivered. Numbers: 9 – 6 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – ZED HOT EXPRESS WIN RACE 3 ROCK’N’THE JAM has been nominated and withdrawn a few times recently and hopefully that means that Team Stewart are just trying to find the right race to have a dip at on debut. Loved the trial behind Rising Fame and she ran well enough on Wednesday to follow this debutante through. MAGICAL SEQUENCE is through the North Face – Zed Hot Express form that we’ll see on show in Race 2. She’s probably going to do her best over further but was a great debut. MANGIFERA looks to have talent. FAVOURITE SONGS has the Daytona Pete / Supernatural / Promising form but will she run 1200m? Numbers: 5 – 9 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – ROCK’N’THE JAM EACHWAY RACE 4 DUG ANOTHER HOLE was below his best last start when leading and beataen over 4.5L by Funchal, however, on the bright side the second and third horses have since broken their maiden status in Noble Connection and Kamakazi Shooter. This is a weak race and he gets his chance. BIRD ON A WIRE is the obvious danger but she does know how to run second! Deserves to win one and this could well become her race. IMPRESSIVE JEWEL wasn’t a bad trial and Ash Maley is unstoppable at the minute. INVINCIBLE THIEF should improve. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 16 – 14 Suggested Bet – DUG ANOTHER HOLE WIN RACE 5 TOO SOON makes his WA debut off a handy trial win over 950m. Gives the impression that 1400m is a nice starting point for his campaign and thinking that CJP will allow him to find his feet and then wind up three deep with cover, an ideal spot for racing on the Scarpside. NAUGHTY TORTIE has a set of shades going on, steps out to 1400m and did run into an above average filly last start in Precious God. BOSS HOLIDAY continues to knock on the door, it just refuses to open for him at the minute. ABSTRACTED was plunged late last start but may have run into an emerging mare in Chino La Diva. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – TOO SOON WIN RACE 6 CESSATION resumed firs-tup down the 1000m straight when really popular in betting regardless of the fact that she had drawn on the ‘wrong’ side of the track and still ran a brave second to Chop Suey. Second-up she drops half a kilo and most importantly is drawn to jump and run and hug the outside fence. That’s a huge positive for her. JUST SAINT JAMES hasn’t had much luck recently and yet he is still hitting the line hard. Must respect. FAMEUX has been down the straight once for a win. PLATO OR PLOMO just needs to stay out of trouble. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – CESSATION WIN RACE 7 ICEBERGS was annihilated in betting last start off a freshen. Was $12 into $3.10 and at the top of the straight most were probably sitting there thinking that the market was simply too good as he began to sneak away from the chasing brigade. Got run down late by I Dreamed A Dream and the time figures are poor out of the race, however, he’s back into a C3 now and you must respect the sheer volume of money that came his way last start. I’M CRAFY and I’M NIPOTE are both going well and feel there isn’t much between them. HE’S ARCHIE is a model of consistency. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – ICEBERGS WIN RACE 8 TOURETTO ran well enough first-up over 1200m behind Cherry Can Run in a C3 to suggest that second-up dropping into a C1 that he would be hard to beat. Drawn to get the right run and Chanel Cooper is really riding well at the minute. THERMOSPHERE LAD was enormous first-up when caught three and four deep the trip after missing away. Big follow no doubt, however, he’s drawn barrier 12/15 and likely to do it tough again? LYRICAL ANGEL and CRUISE TO RIO both went around in the fillies staying features last campaign and both are capable of working their way through the grades now as 4 year old mares. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – TOURETTO WIN RACE 9 OUR MATE ARCHIE is a nice horse. He was backed into an even money favourite first-up but couldn’t quite go with them over 1100m when the sprint went on behind Oracle Son and Another Strike. 1200m suits and expect him to be flooding home late. SOSO LUCKY was a brilliant winner on debut and second-up on heavily rain affected tracks in winter. Will we see the same mare on a Good4? MYSTIC JANE has run solidly in both starts this campaign. LIFEISBUTADREAM just looked to peak on the run fresh. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 2 – 12 Suggested Bet – OUR MATE ARCHIE WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,3 1,2,3,4 1,2,4,5,7,9 3,9 Market Market
