If he can come out running and park to the outside of Frantic War then he should run well. Talented 4 year old who races on speed. Doesn’t seem to get around the bend at Ascot. Take away those runs and he has an imposing strike rate. FRANTIC WAR is a last start 1000m straight track winner of a maiden. Rises from a maiden to a C3 and rises 2kg. It’s a tough system we race in at times. He’s clearly thriving on straight track racing and is drawn to park against the outside fence. Offsets the weight and class rise. PRINCE AMONGST MEN is quick and can come across from the ’wrong side’. Strong win last start. DENGA next. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – OCEANIC RIDER WIN RACE 2 SUPER SNIPPY has had two starts in his life, both down the 1000m straight and both filling placings. On debut finished third behind Deep Envy and Frantic War and then again ran behind Frantic War when second last start. Getting better with racing, drawn to sit towards the outside fence and should be going well in this. OUTFIELD hasn’t trialled since October 2022. Both of his trials back then were highly encouraging and the fact Chris Parnham has seemingly jumped off Magnum Class catches the attention. BUSTERS FREE showed ability in his initial preparation and can hug the outside fence. CHEDDAR BOB fought on well last start. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – SUPER SNIPPY WIN RACE 3 RYEWOOD was purchased at the 2021 New Zealand Bloodstock Karaka sale for $125,000 and her two lead up trials this preparation have been sound. She finished third behind debut winners Shaka Zulu and Lady Cabernet and then got over the top of Chinobrown late in a trial where Chinobrown broke them open in the middle stages. 54.5kg on her back on debut and while this is a deep maiden with plenty of nice trial horses she looks to have a motor. CHINOBROWN chased down the leader in his first trial this campaign and then was allowed to stride. Looks strong. MUCHACHA BONITA did plenty wrong in her trial but still got the job done. MAKES THE CUT attacked the line with gusto from a long way back in the same trial. Numbers: 9 – 4 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – RYEWOOD WIN RACE 4 RUBIROCK has put the writing on the wall at his last two. He got to the line nicely at Ascot behind Noteworthy, Yonga Lass and She’s Imminent and then was huge last week from a mile off them when settling in a different postcode to the leaders when second to Proportait. If he can stay in touch with them in the early stages, he can win this. DEVIL GIRL will likely be at the other end of the speed map. She was solid first-up behind Noteworthy and actually beat home Rubirock in that event. Not much between them. BONNIE THE RULER is drawn a tough gate but she’s versatile. ALWAYSONEMORE was a different horse first-up and second-up. This will determine which one is the true self. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – RUBIROCK WIN RACE 5 MANHATTAN STRIP looks like he’s found his race third-up into the preparation. Chris Parnham rode 5 winners last Thursday and 4 winners last Wednesday. He’s in white hot form. The Pearce Brothers produced 9 winners in the month of March. They’re in great form. The horse has finished second to Desennae and was narrowly knocked off by Tonga Lass last start. Maps a treat and looks hard to toss. KISSES FROM KELLY showed ability at trials and considering she was thrown in the deep end on debut into a 3 year old 0MWLY she did a reasonable job to only be beaten 5L. WEST COAST WARRIOR ran home stylishly behind Manhattan Strip fresh. ARCADIA JEWEL has trialled well. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 5 – 12 Suggested Bet – MANHATTAN STRIP WIN RACE 6 SHAKA ZULU was highly impressive on debut down the 1000m straight. Steps straight to 1400m which is an ask but he’s drawn barrier 1, only rises half a kilo after the claim for Luke Campbell and looks to have plenty of upside. If he can see out a strong 1400m think he’s a live chance of staying undefeated. Loved his turn of acceleration when asked for an effort. POMPEY is a work in progress. Does a lot wrong in his races but thinking Paul Harvey is an ideal rider for him. LA DETTE was horribly unlucky last start when pocketed up the entire home straight. BELGRANO BELLE nearly won at her Ike Racing debut. Only improves. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – SHAKA ZULU WIN RACE 7 VAST ART extended like a nice horse last start. He was coming out of a 3 year old Saturday race at Ascot where he has shown twice now that he simply wobbles around the tight corner and isn’t as well suited as he is at tracks like Belmont Park, Pinjarra Park or ideally Pinjarra Scarpside. He won by 2.5L and was strong late and through the line. Looks like he’s only getting better with racing and this is another winnable assignment for him. NEVER SOBER travelled strongly throughout at his first-up run. He can come to hand very quickly in his preparation. BEAT THE BRO seems to do his best at Pinjarra and he’s back in form. MIA GUSTO steps out to a mile. Interesting to see if she sees out the trip. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – VAST ART WIN RACE 8 CASINO SEVENTEEN put on a galloping exhibition last Sunday in the South West Cup. He rises 3kg in weight but he beat all of his fellow rivals (except additions to the race Blazing Away and Sluice Box) by over 5L in an absolute romp. Paul Harvey takes over from the suspended William Pike and as we saw last start, he only needs to settle for half the race to be winning. BLAZING AWAY zapped him in the Bunbury Cup when nothing at all went right for Casino Seventeen. Comes into this fresh having missed the SW Cup. NO APOLOGY knows how to run second. Each time he does he’s pocketing connections ~$25,000. Not bad going! NEUFBOSC normally improves a length or two on the 7-day spin around. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – CASINO SEVENTEEN WIN RACE 9 SYMPHONY IN RED resumes off a spell and drops into a C1 first-up. On paper this looks a race (and market) likely to be dominated by 3 year olds (Budgerigar, Desert Nymph, Diamond Rocks, Visions of Grace and Symphony In Red). She’s got a wide draw and likely settles rearwards, but if they’ve been making ground she could be worth an eachway ticket in the last. Showed ability as a 2 year old, slick trial behind Kosta’s Crown and Rumour Says and has no weight on her back. DESERT NYMPH got the job done last start. Was the first time she’d seen clear galloping room throughout and showed what’s under the hood. BUDGERIGAR caught the eye behind Stormy Tawny after a let-up. VISIONS OF GRACE parks and rides the speed. Numbers: 10 – 7 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – SYMPHONY IN RED EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,4,5,6,11 2,3,4 3 4,7,8,9,10 Market Market
