Scott Embry’s Sunday Pinjarra Preview Posted on December 9, 2022December 9, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 THE BIG ONE looks to have found his most suitable race to date. Has had 7 starts and finished in the money of five of them, placing to Karalee Rocks, Oly’s Choice, Seeable and most recently Universal Playboy. Should either lead or box seat from barrier 1 and gets his opportunity to break through for a deserving win. EEE PEE CEE joins the stables of Neville Parnham and should be winning races. Think that ultimately 1200m will be on the shorter, sharper side for him but no surprise to see him test The Big One. ESSENTIALLY ran well enough on debut to finish in the money here. GAGE ROADS joins Grant & Alana Williams. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – THE BIG ONE WIN RACE 2 DANNEMORA hasn’t been seen at the races for a over year but showed better than average maiden ability in his initial preparation. Finished 1.8L off Yeman Lass, 2.7L off Stay Safe (who went onto the 3 year old features from that win) and finished three quarters off the well thought of Galactic Storm. May need the run but a winnable race fresh. SHOT OF ELEGANCE has her first start for Grant & Alana Williams. Drawn wide but likely to get back in her races regardless. Thought her trials were good enough and if they can make ground she’ll be charging late. LITTLE PIPPA has shown plenty at trials. PRECIOUS SUN wasn’t a bad debut in a hot race. Numbers: 2 – 11 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – DANNEMORA WIN RACE 3 UNCLE GERARD is big, raw and simply never saw daylight last weekend from the box seat. Went to the line absolutely bolting and with a gap looked like he would have burst through to win. Backs up 7 days later and going off the second to Megami (beat home subsequent winner Playhouse Patron) and with Pike going on we’ll dig deep and follow up. MISS INTENTION is bursting to win a race. Really attacked the line last Sunday. THE LUCKY CHIP is also from that exact same form race. He’s drawn slightly better and is going well. KEEP IT HUSH is getting close to breaking through. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 3 – 1 Suggested Bet – UNCLE GERARD WIN RACE 4 ORTABEAROCKSTAR went mighty close at her second outing when stepping from 1200 to 1400m and leading for 1399m until grabbed on the post by Another Chino. Another Chino raced on Wednesday at Ascot and had he seen daylight he probably plays a big part in the finish of a C1 1800 to make the form look even better. See no reason why she won’t be hard to run down in this. CALL ME VIOLET was backed as if unbeatable on debut. The money came thick and fast and it was sustained over the period of about half an hour leading into the race. Blinkers go on immediately. Respect. SOLDIERS CAMP finished third to China Spirit and Uninook. Reads up well. OSOPEPI ran well on debut last Sunday. Numbers: 7 – 9 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – ORTABEAROCKSTAR WIN RACE 5 CRYSTAL’S DREAM was huge on debut as a 2 year old when caught wide and working throughout. Finished second to Defiant Diorite (beating home Magnalee who won last Sunday) and thought Defiant Diorite measured up in a C1 behind Brave Venture on Wednesday. Better draw and winkers on. ZOOROPA had three starts last preparation finished third on a Heavy8 on debut, second on a Soft5 to stablemate Fay Roy Slim and then went to a 3 year old 0MWLY when whacking away late to finish fifth behind Nero King. Trialled well over 950m and makes his return over 1413. If he can overcome a wide gate he’s well and truly in the mix. ROCKON MOLLY continues to run honest races. FREIS WITH THAT gets weight relief and if he reproduces his fresh run is dangerous late. Numbers: 12 – 3 – 11 – 2 Suggested Bet – CRYSTAL’S DREAM WIN RACE 6 OUTSPOKEN LAD resumed last preparation in the 3 Year Old Magic Millions and then went through to eventually contest the Aquanita Stakes and Belmont Classic. His form when last in work was mainly over a mile and beyond but going off his fresh efforts in previous campaigns he’s more than capable of pinching this 0MWLY 1413 fresh. Hasn’t beaten one home at trials but has run into Burnya To Survive (72+ winner) and other sharper 950m types. Great race for him. CISCOJOE resumes and showed plenty when last in work. Always looked like a horse who would benefit from experience and time. Liked his trial. Obvious danger. WAKAN TANKA can come on quickly. HIP WIGGLE gets a soft run. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – OUTSPOKEN LAD WIN RACE 7 GROUND BRAKER finally drops into a more suitable assignment. Has had four runs this preparation, all in 66+ ratings races and all of them have had merit. He’s actually dropped 2 points in the process and now finds himself back into a 54+ and out to 2000m. Convinced he’s going better than numerical form suggests and if he can find a spot in running he’s found his most winnable assignment so far this campaign. TELL NOTHIN’ is on the 4 day back-up from Wednesday and gains the services of William Pike. Not an easy horse to ride but when the penny drops, he’ll win a few more. GRACE DU ROI is a progressive staying mare who can sustain a run. DECOY NOXIOUS is always there abouts. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – GROUND BRAKER WIN RACE 8 BIG SWOOP was nothing short of enormous two starts ago when sitting out deep in the cheap seats for the entirety of the race before being swamped half-way up the straight by Crezee. Showed huge ticker to fight back underneath him and go down by only half a length. Won effortlessly last start and with his on speed racing pattern there’s no reason why he can’t win a few more in the near future. LAUTRE finally gets out to a staying trip and provided he gets a crack at them from barrier 1 then he should be finishing off hard late. MR FAHRENHEIT has found his niche and Peter Knuckey rides him brilliantly. SPECIAL PICTURE is bursting to win a race. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – BIG SWOOP WIN RACE 9 MADAM KISSES returns to the races and returns to the Pinjarra Straight where she is two from two undefeated. Love it when horses proven down the straight return to the track and she’s been given 2 trials to warm her up for her return. Has a big turn of foot and last start finished a narrow third behind Nowhiteflag in a 60+ Graduation. Already a C3 winner and ticks plenty of boxes. AL QUEPONE is a noted 1000m straight horse. He is a 3-time winner down the straight and they’re the kind of horses who can overcome the ‘poor’ draw on the ‘wrong’ side of the Pinjarra straight. SIOUX CITY has speed and can hug the outside fence. INVISIBLE STRING finds this easier than a 3 year old Plate. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – MADAM KISSES WIN RACE 10 SPORST TALK has put the writing on the wall with two solid efforts to start his preparation. Third behind Eldorado River and Samaria (races Saturday in a Westspeed Platinum) and fourth behind Emerald Trader when bustled early to find a position and loomed the winner on straightening before blowing out late. Blinkers on and drawn to get a soft run. Nice race for him. SOLID GOLD looks hard to hold out. Resumed without a trial and won soft under Luke Campbell. Gets a similar run in transit and is the one to hold out. LORD RANDOLPH joins the yard of Summer Dickson and it looks on face value as though Brad Rawiller has elected to ride him over Sports Talk. SUNPLAY an improver if finding the top. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – SPORTS TALK WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 1,2,3,4,6,7 2,6 1,4,5,6 1,6 Market Market
