Did a fair bit wrong on debut when 2L off Vivid Dream and Private Sapling and took great improvement into his second outing when flashing late behind Under Influence. Went from that race to a 3 year old 62+ and while finishing last was only 1.5L off Deep Envy, Pot Shot, Ex Sport Girl and was held up in the home straight. Back into a maiden and looks to be improving. JUST A RUMOUR had to do it tough last start in the three deep line and now comes back to 1100m with a senior rider going on. STAR POWER continues to loom in her races and finds one better than her each and every time. Shouldn’t be a maiden long. ROCKON MOLLY is a get back sprinting maiden with W.Pike aboard. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – CANNY ROCK WIN RACE 2 IMA SINGLE GAL went to a C1 1100 when leading and fading behind Deep Envy (subsequent Saturday 3 year old 62+ winner and races again Saturday) before heading back to a maiden last start when the target of big support in betting. Had to do a mountain of work to get across and had nothing left in the tank at the 150m. Senior rider on and should find the fence here. EYESHADOW did run third behind Estimator and Military Power in a maiden at Belmont last preparation. Never asked for an effort at trials. CHIPOLARTIE was sound on debut down the straight in January. SO GOLDEN wanted to lay in noticeably first-up. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 8 – 5 Suggested Bet – IMA SINGLE GAL WIN RACE 3 ANTIQUE MISS ran third on debut over 1000m down the straight, then was fair at Albany over 1240m in a maiden behind Penned before parking deep throughout when only beaten 2L by She’s Imminent and Sassy Skye. Happy to follow that as a form reference and drawn barrier 1 she can park leader’s back and enjoy a soft run into the race. Think maiden and looks hardest to beat. DARK MISSILE is the ownership and stablemate who also had to do it tough from a wide gate last start behind Perfect Bubbles and Kisses From Kelly. Not much between those two form reference races. TANKSFORTHEMEMORY never got a crack at them in that race and should have finished closer. WEST COAST WARRIOR next best. Numbers: 8 – 5 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – ANTIQUE MISS WIN RACE 4 HE’SGOTWINGS seems to do his best fresh so don’t mind the month between runs here. He finished third first-up without a trial behind Universal Flair (beating home Thursday winner What A Prince) and he was held up at really crucial stages. Talented enough to pinch this. SISU WARRIOR can park behind the strong speed (The Chief Justice, Exporose, Chilli Bean and Climb On Top all wanting the fence) and from there he gets the run he needs to produce his best. Solid enough trial behind Pearly Nugget and Boots From Bruce. CLIMB ON TOP won well on debut. This is deeper and he has an extra 2.5kg. EXPOROSE is a great use of the claim. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – HE’SGOTWINGS WIN RACE 5 HOBA WEST is a big lump of a horse who has had three trials to prepare him for his return to the races. Didn’t trial in blinkers which he wears on race day and has been winding up nicely over the latter stages of his 950m trials. Likely to let the speed go and then work his way into the race from the 600. DEBONNAIRE has gone under as favourite at his last two outings. Likely to be even shorter here and while he gets his chance in a thin race, he’s no world beater. CRYSTAL ROSE can park up on the speed again and she won’t give up the chase. THERMOSPHERE LAD an improver with a senior rider on. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – HOBA WEST WIN RACE 6 MANHATTAN STRIP seems to go better when he’s ridden patiently. Gets that opportunity here in a 7 horse field without much speed engaged. Went from a maiden win to a C3 and flashed home behind Sesswa. This looks a weaker race on paper than last start and he gets a great chance to win a second from 9 outings. COMEALILBITCLOSER is already a C5 winner and a C3 winner. He’s very well placed and the Ultimate Style/Awesome Rival form should hold up. Brayden Gaerth seems to get the best out of him. RIDING HOOD FAME is only 1 from 66 but her run last start was eye catching. CHERRY CAN RUN can park up over the speed again. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – MANHATTAN STRIP WIN RACE 7 COMFORT ME hasn’t won a race for 540 days but he’s finished second to Western Empire and Trix Of The Trade in back to back Railway Stakes. He’s particularly well suited at SWP as a m106 rater with only 55kg and this is the best barrier he has been afforded so far this campaign. Brave in the Roma Cup at WFA and then again when narrowly defeated in the Joey. Looks a great race for him on paper. HOT ZED is a marvel. Every time he steps to WFA he holds his own (Winterbottom, Goldrush, Quokka). He’s a ripper and is a legitimate threat from the inside. RED CAN MAN could elect to take up the running here if that’s what they wanted to do. Either way settles over the speed and is tough as they come. DOM TO SHOOT and TITAN BLINDERS were both massive runs in the Joey. Numbers: 6 – 3 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – COMFORT ME WIN RACE 8 BOURBON BEAU and STARRING KNIGHT are both accepted in the same race on Saturday and Sunday. They’re both top 3 material if they scratch from Saturday to save for this. BOURBON BEAU has been leading and fading but could take cover here on free rolling front runner Rommel’s Jeuney. STARRING KNIGHT is already a dual C5 winner at Pinjarra and Belmont and hasn’t had much luck in either of his recent outings. KEEPER SWEET trialled super and showed when last in work that she more than measures up at this level. ROMMMEL’S JEUNEY drops back to 1300m but gets horses uncomfortable as he rolls from the 600. FOREST WAR can’t go any quicker than 33.82 L600. Run wasn’t bad last week. Hard race to assess without knowing who will scratch/accept. Numbers: (2) – (1) – 4 – 11 Suggested Bet – STARRING KNIGHT WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 3,4 2,3 1,2,3,5,6,7 (1),(2),3,4,11 Market Market
