Scott Embry’s Sunday Narrogin Preview Posted on February 7, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 MAN YOUR POST and TALLADEGA are both new comers to the races and strike a field where the exposed form is very weak. Historically the inside gate at tight tracks like Narrogin and York can be graveyards for first starts so without confidence going to side with MAN YOUR POST who showed enough at trials. TALLADEGA clearly has ability and a motor and is bred in the purple. Does look like he is fairly new and green. ARION LASS could be the leader. MUMSTHEONE next best. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – MAN YOUR POST WIN Race 2 ROCK THE PLANET is speedy and should be set alight from the outside gate by Simone Altieri. Her first three runs this preparation were huge and the most recent was sectionally strong too. Gets her chance. PETITE LA FEMME was impressive at Lark Hill when clearing out and winning in fast time. ALEXIS OLYMPIA went round at a big price on debut and ran a great race. PALAVER ran third on debut to Vitalilo (who has won a C1 since) and Roberta who broke her maiden very soon after. First-up, no trial, drawn wide makes it tough. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – ROCK THE PLANET WIN Race 3 SHESAPOCKET ROCKET has had the two starts over the 930 at Narrogin and best effort was a third. Drawn soft here to sit just off the leaders and should get every opportunity. Great run two starts ago behind talented stablemate Tinto Belle. SECRET ASSAULT has been knocking on the door and Ramoly is riding well. ORBIT THE SUN has returned from a North West campaign in great form. TWISTED MOUNTAIN is a dual 930 winner which is a huge positive. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – SHESAPOCKET ROCKET WIN Race 4 TRADE PRIZE was a winner 5 starts back at York in a 46+ and a very similar race to this. Has been finding metro C3 company too strong and now falls back into a c46+ ratings race. Could sneak under the radar. DOLLY EM won on a heavily leader bias day two starts ago in slow time but is one of the few horses with a recent ‘W’ on the board. MAMBAZO drops in trip and that could suit. ALL SQUARE is the ‘class’ but 4kg claimer drawn wide makes her risky. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – TRADE PRIZE WIN Race 5 TRIPLE EVENT finds a winnable race here. Lead them up and faded three starts ago in a quality C3 behind Sweet Dreamin (won 2 since), Kakadu (winner since) and Denim Pack who is racing ultra consistently. Bolting the entire length of the straight in a Saturday race two starts ago and another quality effort in a 60+ last time out. Draws a gate, drops in grade. Keen. SHE’S VITAL is clearly the horse to beat. Always in the finish and has been strong in far tougher races than this. VITAL DANCER is going well without winning. FOO TROUBLE could improve for a new yard. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 4 – 9 Suggested Bet – TRIPLE EVENT WIN Race 6 GLEN ALBYN can be a hard horse to catch but he absolutely loves the Narrogin circuit, especially when he can find the front. He should get those two conditions to suit here and looks another 46+ race he can pinch. FUSION is a maiden taking on moderate opposition. No surprise to see him break his duck in a ratings race of this nature. TORTINA is drawn to play a part. Going better than paper form suggests. CAPTAIN JACK is racing well enough to be in the finish. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – GLEN ALBYN WIN Race 7 BURNING PRIDE is absolutely flying at the minute. She is really starting to put it all together and reproduce some of the promise she showed as an early 3 year old. Will get back at Narrogin which is never an ideal scenario but they usually take off at the 800 in the Cup and if something can tow her into it she’ll be finishing powerfully. THE BIG SHOW has to lump 60.5kg but races on speed to off set the big weight impost. Clearly hard to beat and is actually very well suited in this. HERE COMES LENNI resumes and can sprint well fresh. PROXY is the likely leader and can roll a fair way out. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – BURNING PRIDE WIN Race 8 APPARITION was good two starts ago at 2000m when travelling strongly and held up at crucial stages when the winner was off and gone. Hit the line hard for second and then put in an uncharacteristic shocker last start. On the fresh side, back in trip. He can run a race. ROSIE RED DRESS is going particularly well but will need some luck from the horror draw. HYPERSPACE has been disappointing his last couple but this is a great opportunity to rebound. BLACK SMUGGLER the blow-out. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – APPARITION WIN Quad (Race 5 – 8) 2,7 1,2,3,4,9,10,12 1,5 3,5,6,8,11 Market Market
