Scott Embry’s Saturday Pinjarra Preview Posted on February 7, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 ON ZE RUN backs up off 7 days from the first-up effort when finishing 6th of 8 but those who finished within 2L of her all look to have reasonable futures (Princely Package, Diamond Trade, Trade Fair Express). Should give a sight in an even maiden. I HOPE YOU DANCE has been going well and is bursting to win a race but the barrier draw is a bitter blow. SKY FIVE continues to run honest and consistent races. ATILLA’S DREAM has shown ability in a short career. Numbers: 15 – 9 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – ON ZE RUN EACHWAY Race 2 COMING AROUND is searching for four straight wins. This is probably the toughest field he has met to date but there are no world beaters and he is progressing through the grades with relative ease. 1600m possibly a small query but small field and draw suits. HE’S A PARKER put in a big run last start. First little bit of form he had shown in a long while. LORDHELPMERUN is teasing punters and missing away doesn’t help. RED PUBLISHER absolutely loves Pinjarra Park and drops sharply in weight from the Batavia. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – COMING AROUND WIN Race 3 CELEBRITY QUEEN returns to the races and brings a real element of excitement. She is not touted in the same category as Superstorm and Tuscan Queen but she doesn’t look that far behind them. Went shin sore in the Belgravia after a big run in the 1000m 3yo Classic. Trialed the house down and only has a bad draw to overcome. NOBELIUM is absolutely flying. Hopefully connections can draw a gate before the end of the preparation. DYNABELLE could get it fairly soft against the fence. MORGS FREEMAN is drawn awkwardly but racing well. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – CELEBRITY QUEEN WIN Race 4 GATES OF BABYLON was absolutely huge in defeat first-up when backed off the map late in betting when sitting three and four deep the trip only going down a head to a horse who has since won another two. Grand effort on speed two starts ago behind Put A Spell On You and Lacevinsky then maybe found the mile a touch too far last start. Back in grade, back in trip, 3kg claimer who loves leading aboard. Looks the one. PLAYING MARIKA lost a few supporters last start. She was home and then threw it away. ABBY LANE is going well but the draw hurts. COCKY DODD proving a little hard to catch but he has ability. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – GATES OF BABYLON WIN Race 5 FLOWER OF WAR should be able to cross from one of the outside gates with all horses drawn inside her likely looking for a sit in the run. Won two on the bounce before being nailed on the post by the super talented Free Trade. This is drop in grade and after the claim for a noted front running apprentice looks very hard to run down. SERENTIY BAY should get it soft from the draw and has a big turn of foot. This is a step up in class for her. REGAL MOON is flying but is racing without any luck at all. AMELIE ARGOT pulled herself into the ground last start. Forgive that. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – FLOWER OF WAR WIN Race 6 FREE TRADE has everything against him here. Gate 9 of 10, 3kg claiming apprentice on a horse who can get strong in the run and a very awkward map to contend with. But he is getting better and better and had no right to win last start after the traffic he encountered. Banking on the horse to get the apprentice out of trouble. CHIX PIC is fool proof. Can race on speed, can race off speed. Has returned very well. MR GENOA faces far and away his toughest test to date. This field is much stronger than anything he has seen. If he can come through this still undefeated for LK Fernie then he’s the real deal. SOME SORT has a fly weight and should make things interesting. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – FREE TRADE WIN Race 7 GEMMA’S SON holds the title as the best 2 year old of the season to date. Looks to be no concerns at all with the 1200m and there is nobody better in a big race than Paul Harvey. Should come across from a wide gate and with even racing luck looks extremely hard to beat. KEEP YOUR FEET draws to sit in the box seat behind the favourite. That is position A on the map. PRECAUTIONARY has caught the eye at both runs in her short career. MADAM TORIO was huge on debut and then possibly a shade unlucky last start on the quick back-up. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 9 – 12 Suggested Bet – GEMMA’S SON WIN Race 8 CRYPTIC WONDER has only gone to the races twice in late season 2-year-old fields but it is hard not to be impressed with his recent effortless trials at Lark Hill. He ran past Catherine Wheel like she was a 48+ type. We all know how that race form stacks up. TYCOON STORM has an abundance of ability. Might find the 1200 a touch sharp but she is classy. MONEY MATTERS backs up from the Rangeview Stud Classic when dominant from the front. MIA DOLCE leads on her ear and 54.5kg is a winnable weight. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – CRYPTIC WONDER WIN Race 9 TOO CLOSE THE SUN was brave first-up at 1800m and steps straight to 2000. Gave a kick at the top of the straight and was run down but the run was full of merit and he looks in for a very fruitful campaign. MORNING SONG has clearly been under-rated by punters when blowing considerably in the market and winning at her past two. Has to be big to win from last here however. ARNIE’S BOY is a query at the staying trip but loves Pinjarra Park. BARBIE WILL DO is racing well and draws to get a soft run. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – TOO CLOSE THE SUN WIN Race 10 DENIM PACK is always there abouts and from the draw, with the claim is a genuine eachway chance of breaking through in an even race. Go back three starts and he was right on the heels of Sweet Dreamin’. Gets considerable weight from that encounter and went close at his most recent. SWEET DREAMIN’ is flying and is clearly a W.Pike horse. No reason he can’t make it four straight. SOLID AZZA is a back maker who may not be suited to the track but she has a motor. KING BLITZ brings real X-Factor. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 13 – 3 Suggested Bet – DENIM PACK EACHWAY Quad (Race 7 – 10) 1,5 3 4,5,6,8 1,3,4,5,6,7,13 Market Market
