Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on July 3, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 NEMIROFF looked well suited stepping into 70+ grade and dropping in weight last start and was backed off the boards before duly saluting. Mitchell Pateman is a great front running rider and he should find the top and control the race. Goes up 2.5kg but is going great guns and should be off and gone turning for home. WOCKNWOLL is no slouch. With the box seat run she’ll be the danger. BOS TAURUS is kept fresh and that could be an astute move. Probably the most talented horse Hannah Fitzgerald has ridden since getting her license. TOO CLEVER should get the run of the race. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – NEMIROFF WIN RACE 2 BRIGHT GLOW is clearly not as good as the market seems to think he is. Backs up off 7 days and has had some ‘excuses’ but should be right in the finish again. Not a lot between the stablemates from the powerhouse of MR Peter Fernie and they look like fighting it out. DAVEEDO has raced well at his last two and probably even better than Bright Glow at both. No doubt Pateman had the choice of both and we’ve simply followed him in on his choice. WILD VALLEY has her first start for Neil Dellar and her metro and provincial maiden form is good. THE HOTSTEPPER an improver with Parnham jumping aboard. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – BRIGHT GLOW WIN RACE 3 ART ADMIRER was good two starts ago but really was jumping out of the ground last weekend catching the eye. Backs up and this is another brilliant opportunity to break his duck. From the draw he can sit closer and looks like the mile will suit. MISS MARANTA is one of a team of horses Vaughn Sigley is bringing to Kal and looks a big winning chance. Likely to lob out the back but finishing bursts first and second up were easily good enough to get over them. ESCALATING needs to lead to win and if it is a rails hot day then his chances improve sharply. HUSSTARR bounced back second-up. Numbers: 4 – 6 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – ART ADMIRER WIN RACE 4 DALGARANGA is a different horse in Kalgoorlie. Arrived coming out of a C2 win in Geraldton and since then has won three and looks like he will continue his way onto bigger and better things. Chris Parnham jumps aboard and there looks to be another very winnable race up for grabs. Flying. PALMA MERENTI is a different horse on the back-up. Absolutely loves the quick turnaround. With a suck run he can spring late. CLOAK AND DAGGER was enormous last weekend. If he can reproduce that then he’s capable of causing the boilover. ON THE TURPS will likely be forgotten by the market. Keep safe. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – DALGARANGA WIN RACE 5 TRAMIKA on paper looks like a brilliant acquisition for Jayden Chubb Thomas. First three runs this preparation have been moderate but this looks a far more suitable assignment. Gate 8 is tricky but Chris Parnham is really in form and with normal luck in running he should be hard to beat. MANHATTAN MONEY clearly has her issues. 28 days between runs and pads going on. Taking on trust. MOONLIGHTS REWARD takes luck out of the equation and gets his chance to lead this event with the shades going on. FIRST STRIKE took ages to break through but did it well. Numbers: 2 – 6 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – TRAMIKA WIN RACE 6 PASTRY was no match for stablemate Dalgaranga last start but that’s certainly no blue. Could become an even better form refence by the time they jump in Race 6 on Sunday and we’re predicting a fairly big day in the saddle for Mitch Pateman and while this is a tough ride, she is a versatile type. GLIMMER GIRL backing up off 7 days into this grade makes her hard to beat. From the draw should get a lovely run. ABSOLUTE has really good East Coast form and should only improve at each start. MEN OF MUKINBUDIN well worth inclusion into a quaddie. First three runs all great against the pattern and with no luck. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 3 – 15 Suggested Bet – PASTRY EACHWAY RACE 7 WEMBLEY DAYZ has only won the one race and that was leading and off 7 days. This is the exact same profile. Should get conditions to suit and looking at the horses drawn underneath of Wembley Dayz Fiona Bell should be able to find the top. Last two have been super. Two starts ago beaten 0.4L in a race 5L faster than average and last weekend when plunged ran them along 3L faster than average before fading late. Keen. MELTEME and AMILLIONITE are both fairly new to Peter Fernie and both win C1 races soon. CASLAVSKA fresh an improver. Numbers: 10 – 11 – 1 – 9 Suggested Bet – WEMBLEY DAYZ WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3 1,2,6 1,3,4,6,8,10,11,12,15 1,9,10,11 Market Market
