Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on June 5, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 KAZKAZI has his first start in the Goldfields region and his 7th start of the campaign. Went close to breaking his maiden four starts ago when second to Victory Shot and two starts ago behind Cuban Twist and subsequent winner Swift Gondo. Can race on the speed and if he jumps cleanly should land a nice spot in running. DREAMY ALICE is in the right stable to improve sharply and from the gate is clearly the blowout. RED DIRT BOY has been super consistent since joining Gary Bowen. KISSEDBYFRIAR is getting very close and from the gate should have no excuse. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – KAZKAZI WIN RACE 2 BOSNIPP has been transferred to Peter Fernie from Justin Warwick and she looks like being far too good for moderate maiden opposition. If she opens in the black she jumps in the red and fingers crossed that the wide gate means she might open a backable price. Should come across running and nearly bully her way to the top. Should salute. SIZZLING AFFAIR is honest and consistent and breaks through soon. ROSEICAPILLA in a very similar vein. DAVEEDO ran better races than it reads on paper and with the shades on and a new stable is worth keeping safe. Numbers: 10 – 8 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – BOSNIPP WIN RACE 3 WOCKNWOLL was a sharp improver first-up to second-up and she usually only gets better and better into the campaign. From the gate Kyra Yuill can have her right over the speed and stalking stablemate Nemiroff. NEMIROFF is probably well suited into this 70+ grade for the first time. Drops 4kg and gets Lucy Warwick aboard who is likely to allow her to roll. TOO CLEVER returned well. Long time between wins but first outing was solid. HAYAN LAD won from back in the field last start and can race anywhere. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – WOCKNWOLL WIN RACE 4 SMARTY was a flop last start but does drop 2kg into this race and goes 3 weeks between runs. She is not racing as well as she was when last in work but does draw a nice gate here to sit closer to the speed. Definitely worth giving a quality mare another go. MAJOR MAMBO has been to town since beating her home and from the draw either leads or stalks behind Murray the Bulldog. OUTER DETENTION is going well without winning. MURRAY THE BULLDOG can give some cheek in front. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 9 – 8 Suggested Bet – SMARTY WIN RACE 5 DIRTY DOT was well found in the market last start and was ridden off-speed. She didn’t seem to appreciate that and didn’t really fire a shot. Drawn the wide gate here there is really only two options, snag to last or come out full of running. Expecting they will be looking for the breeze outside Blooms and worth following up. LITTLE HERCULES is going well and finally broke through last start. BLOOMS is coming through the grades nicely and the Tasker team is going well. ORAVA on his day would school these but the jury is out as to where he is at. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – DIRTY DOT WIN RACE 6 DOUBLE THE PRO gets the services of Mitchell Pateman here and that could be the key to his winning chances. Is a pretty particular kind of horse to ride and the patience of Pateman at Kalgoorlie should see him hard to hold out late. Will need conditions to suit so if they can’t make ground then it’s abandon ship but if they are getting home nicely then this is a nice race for him. KNIGHT TEMPEST coming back in trip looks suitable and he is in really good form. DALGARANGA is a new animal under Peter Fernie and no reason he can’t continue on through the grades. GLIMMER GIRL is versatile and can take full advantage of the gate. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – DOUBLE THE PRO WIN RACE 7 NORD AVENIR has been going so well since Esperance and has taken that form to Kalgoorlie. Raced without any luck the last few months and then looked like she was going to be a good thing licked until Victoria Corver got her through the gaps late last start. Any luck here and she looks hard to beat again. JUST FRIARS improved last start and with the shades going back on can lead and control. PROZONE is going well but the draw makes things a fair bit tougher. SURE CONVICTION is getting under the radar. Wins one soon. Numbers: 2 – 10 – 6 – 12 Suggested Bet – NORD AVENIR WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,2 1,2,3,6,7,8 1,3,4,8 2,10 Market Market
