Scott Embry’s Sunday Kalgoorlie Preview Posted on July 26, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 SCREAM IN BLUE gets one last chance from me. He has shown glimpses of ability but tends to find trouble in the run. If Percy Turner get a cart into the race he can win this off the quick back-up. INFILTRATOR looked home last start but peaked in the last 50m. Was a decent gap between runs and now backs up and has Pike riding for one of his favourite yards. He’ll throw the kitchen sink at him. FOXY DREAMER was charging late in the same race last week. TOMMY TO JACK is improving. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 9 – 7 Suggested Bet – SCREAM IN BLUE WIN Race 2 JACK’S FROST put in a nice run first-up and then followed it up with a narrow defeat here last weekend. If Yuill can come out running and end up sitting in the breeze he’ll be hard to shake off. EASINGTON ran a really good trial at Kal before his first start for Helen Harding. Caught the eye last week. FLAGSTICK has start number 15 but this is one of the easiest assignments she has seen. EMERALD ROSE is a perennial maiden but will pinch one soon. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet – JACK’S FROST WIN Race 3 PERCEPTIVE MISS made solid ground last week over 1400m behind Mauldens Mill and Regal Counsel. The step up to 1760 looks to be in her favour and a fairly inexperienced 3kg claimer in replaced by the second best in the west. Hard to beat. PINK AND PURPLE was flying late in the same race and has to nearly open favourite with the Wizard riding. Should know the horse well considering his wife used to train. KICKAPOO has hit a purple patch of form. BIG RANSOM finally broke through last start but strikes a fairly strong C3. Numbers: 7 – 8 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – PERCEPTIVE MISS EACHWAY Race 4 HAYAN LAD should bounce to the top here and out to 1400m looks awfully hard to run down. The race lacks depth and Kate Witten elects to jump ship from Fair Joy again to ride. Rolls along and should be right in the finish. FAIR JOY was bitterly disappointing last start when the shades came off. They go straight back on. CHHAYA fresh and back to 1400m is the blow out. HILLBERT is only just going at the minute but Pike jumps aboard. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – HAYAN LAD WIN Race 5 GANGBUSTER is one where the market simply knew last weekend. Was a massive drifter getting out to almost double figures on the jump. Was never in the race, got knocked around and laid in on coming into the home corner. Backs up off 7, draws gate 1 to sit in the box seat, Pike on, up to a mile. Tick, Tick, Tick. BOOMA LACKA won strongly last start for a flying Matt Mego stable. Can keep winning. MAJOR MAMBO has been a shade disappointing but he can improve and give Dave Sheehan nightmares if he looms up along-side Booma Lacka. RARE SELECTION has been in work a long time but continues to race well. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 4 Suggested Bet – GANGBUSTER WIN Race 6 IT’S DYNAMITE charged home to win the Mayoral Cup two starts ago zapping Paradise Square and Bollywood Blitz. Last start never got into a 70+ race which was dominated from the front. Three weeks between runs is her go and she’ll be charging late. NEMIROFF is flying and will take serious running down. Toughest field he has met but hard to fault either win. SAMMY THE BOSS came with a whirlwind run to score from well off them last week. MONASH has been a model of consistency since joining Shannon Row-Han but could find the 1200 a bit sharp. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – IT’S DYNAMITE EACHWAY Race 7 REGAL COUNSEL was only nabbed late at his first start for the Camabana Lodge team. Only 7 days later he backs up, drops back to 1200m, draws a peach of an alley and has W.Pike in the saddle. Very similar field to last week, he should hold them off. DOUBLE THE PRO had a disappointing preparation but his previous 3 year old form was good. LITTLE FLIRT should get a soft run three back the fence. HERRON SAND can improve with shades back on. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 7 – 13 Suggested Bet – REGAL COUNSEL WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 2,3,4,6 2 1,2,3,4 1 Market Market
