Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on December 13, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 MY FAIR LADY comes out of a strong edition of the Placid Ark Stakes a Listed race for 3 year olds. She only has four other opponents to get past and her run behind Rebel Yell two starts ago looks the best form. PICASSO BAY was lit in a recent trial when the blinkers went on. She will settle off them and rattle late. SASTA has shown a bit since joining Mark Wrights in form stable. KING STREET next best ahead of the stablemate. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – MY FAIR LADY WIN Race 2 GREAT CHARADE hit the line really hard behind Fred Dag at Bunbury two starts ago before being thrown into the deep end when third last in the Listed Fairetha Stakes. Drops in trip and grade and has shades added. MELTEME went well on debut and was only coming off a 400m jump out. DALGARAGA was beaten a fair way from home first-up but that is a very strong form race. OLIVIA KNOWS could return to her leaders role in the small field and is consistent. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – GREAT CHARADE WIN Race 3 AL CAPITANO is a get back and run on type who will spot the leaders a bit of a head start. He is going really well and this is one of the weaker maidens he has seen. BRITISH BESSY was a big improver when stepping out over further last Sunday at Pinjarra and beat home a nice filly in Cockatiel. VICTORIOUSCHINO is yet to show a whole heap on the track but looked handy at trials and has shown a glimpse. FIND THE GAP was backed as if unbeatable in the staying maiden last week. Better suited back in trip. Numbers: 1 – 8 – 10 – 2 Suggested Bet – AL CAPITANO WIN Race 4 TRADEMENT is drawn a horror alley but is going to get back in his races regardless of where he draws in the line. Ran into the very speedy filly Excise Free two starts ago and then Gillespie at his most recent. This is much easier. PRINCE EIGHT should find the front here without challenge and if Hill can walk them he’s in the mix. SURE CONVICTION has blinkers on and comes from that hot Gillespie race. WILD GALAH was disappointing last start, better than that. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 13 – 8 Suggested Bet – TRADEMENT WIN Race 5 TAWNY PETE was horrendous viewing for his loyal supporters first-up. Missed away, held up, knocked around, and then still was far from disgraced in the finish. If he races tractably he should be winning. FLASH OF THUNDER burst onto the scene early in his 3 year old career. Possibly a bit disappointing last preparation but definitely a nice type. MELROS BEACH has no weight on the back and trialed up well. COLD AS COLD next best. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – TAWNY PETE WIN Race 6 VITAL DANCER has been fairly disappointing at two runs so far this preparation but in this field looks like getting his best chance of the preparation to clear them out and lead. That could be the difference. SWEET DREAMIN’ has been well supported and fairly moderate at his last two runs. Pike goes on so sure to be in the market again. REBEL YELL found a few slick 3 year olds a bit sharp last start. This is a better race. GO CRYING can run a place without surprising. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – VITAL DANCER WIN Race 7 AWESOME AS should roll forwards from the gate and then get some cover behind the likes of Lord Sherwood and Mouquet. Looks to be building towards another win. FOUR WHITE FOX was a big drifter first-up and didn’t get the best of luck. Should improve out in trip. MOUQUET is rarely far from the action. Goes forwards and is honest and consistent. OUR MATE AL has been promising to win another race for 6 months and continues to hit the line. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 6 Suggested Bet – AWESOME AS EACHWAY Race 8 RACY AVA has been freshened up after only two runs earlier in the campaign. She does get back in her races but at one stage almost announced herself as an Oaks type. Went close first-up in a very similar race. EXPRESS FLIRT was left flat footed last start when the speed went on a long way before home. BEAT THE BELL never got into the race last weekend. Run before was big. FLYING TARGET may find herself in front here and can definitely win another. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – RACY AVA WIN Quaddie (Race 5– 8) 1,2 1,3,4 1,3,4,5,6 1,3,5,6,7,8,9 Market Market
