Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on March 19, 2021March 19, 2021 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 YOYO’S is on debut off the back of a 1000m Pinjarra trial where she was allowed to do her own thing down the wrong (inside) part of the track. Those in front of her including Blue Skates, Smoker and Mystical Man all look like talented types and from the good draw in an even maiden with plenty of exposed form she does look capable of breaking through on debut. SCOROPION STORMZ was first-up no trial at Ascot when running an encouraging fourth to Blazing Passion. Should only improve off that run. LOOKSNOTEVERYTHING is in career best form since joining the stables of Catherine Godden. Shades on first time but has had plenty of chances. SPRITZ IT UP has been going well. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – YOYO’S WIN RACE 2 COMMAND FORCE made his debut in a 3yo 0MWLY at Ascot when running into Triple Missile and Secret Plan. Did a reasonable job to get within 4.5L of that talented pair. At his second start he was again placed into 3yo 0MWLY grade and looked completely at sea when green throughout down the 1000m straight. Blinkers on, back into a maiden and back around the corner, looks a sharp improver. FIRST MOMENT ran third to Classic Magnus and Vane Tempest in a maiden before splitting Chili Is Hot and Tabella. Reasonable form for this. YOUDOYOU was more than competitive in her first campaign. COUNT GRUNDY should hold a position in running. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – COMMAND FORCE WIN RACE 3 JOLLY ODD is a 5 year old Dick Turpin mare who is having her 28th run in maiden company. She likely goes round favourite and she’s the on top selection – that shows the depth of the staying maidens. Run down by a talented enough stayer in Crezee last start and she’ll look the winner turning for home. ELLEVISTA has been around the mark of recent times and there was little between her and Jolly Odd last start. THERE’S A THOUGHT was very one paced at York and looks suited out in trip. JAFETICA is lightly raced and improving quickly. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 8 – 9 Suggested Bet – JOLLY ODD WIN RACE 4 BAYBIZARRE went round even money last start and any poor punting souls who launched in at the shorts were left bitterly disappointed after she suffered cardiac arrhythmia. Has since trialled well and should nearly find the front here and control the race. Was knocking on the door and can be forgiven for one poor performance with a genuine excuse. COTCHIN ran fourth at his most recent and has shown glimpses of ability in his short career to date. Looks the danger. KAYLANI is going super (for a limited type) and deserves to pinch one. Gets every hope from the draw. MUDCHUKKA an improver with the cups on. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – BAYBIZARRE WIN RACE 5 CHIEF ARCHER is the winner of three races at Bunbury from 5 attempts, gets back out to 1400m, is the rare exception to Universal Rulers being suited on rain affected tracks and drops in grade from a 58+ back into a C3. Not disgraced last start behind talented mare Ladies of London and gets a 3kg weight swing on Mini Winnie from that race. Drawn to get the run and Laqdar Ramoly’s claim a luxury. ROGUES POINT has been a C1 for a long time but run some excellent races. In his second preparation with Justin Warwick looks ready to go through the grades. MINI WINNIE is knocking on the door. SUN CHACEN won well las start but query the form. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – CHIEF ARCHER WIN RACE 6 WINSALOT was scratched from an 1800m C1 on Wednesday at Ascot to save for this. Drawn to get the plumb run in behind the leaders and with Temptacion winning a 60+ on Wednesday the form looks super on paper. SPECIAL VIEW steps straight up in trip and if he can control the tempo again for Pateman he’s the one to beat. IT’S A LANCE has returned to racing in great order. CALAG was a heavily supported favourite last start in a C3. Drops back into a C1. Keep safe. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – WINSALOT WIN RACE 7 MONTELENA went around a $1.55 in the Bunbury Cup and had no answers for the short sharp turn of acceleration displayed by Paddy’s Shadow in a Cup race that was turned into a real grind with a massive amount of tempo in the early and middle stages. Following up with her in the Bull and Bush Tavern South West Cup. UTGARD LOKI was the only ‘on speed’ horse from the Bunbury Cup who was still there with 200m to go. Copped a fair bit of interference turning for home. Nearly leads this and is a definite eachway chance. DIVINE SHADOW goes for Mitch Pateman and is drawn well. PADDY’S SHADOW cops the weight penalty for her last start win. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – MONTELENA WIN RACE 8 SWEET ANGELINE is the most intriguing runner on the programme having her first start in WA for new trainer Justin Warwick. Lightly raced mare who has won 2yo maiden at Hawksbury, finished midfield in the Group 1 Champagne Stakes behind Castelvecchio and Loving Gabby and then won back to back races in Singapore. Pinjarra trial was soft and if she brings her best can win. STANDOUT ROSE beat Miss Vasari last start in what looks to be strong 3 year old midweek form. YADREAMIN’ gets last crack at them. GLASGOW GIRL is better than last start. Numbers: 1 – 10 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – SWEET ANGELINE WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,4,5 1,2,4,6 1,2,3,4 1,3,5,10 Market Market
