Scott Embry’s Sunday Bunbury Preview Posted on December 13, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 GOODBYEFEDS was solid first-up when doing a lot wrong, worked a bit too hard second-up and ran well third-up. This is another very weak maiden and he gets a big chance to break through. RUNBABE draws the inside and has been running honest races. Drawn the inside to do no work. NOT REALLY TRUE ran fairly last start. The form enhanced with Too Fat Too Slow saluting. ALLEZ ALLEZ never got into the race on debut. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – GOODBYEFEDS WIN Race 2 TYCOON STORM trialed like a filly who would get out over a bit of ground and on debut settled back on a day where you really needed to be forward of midfield. Ran the best closing sections and now steps to a more suitable trip. Hard to beat here. MIRTH ‘N’ MUSIC has been sneaking under the radar and running encouraging races. Bruce Watkins stable absolutely flying. KITGUM can’t get any luck in his races but finally draws a gate. SECRET PEARL finished off well on debut. Numbers: 7 – 4 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – TYCOON STORM WIN Race 3 TINTO BELLE was the run of the race outside of This’ll Testya. That mare has now gone on to win by 6.75L in a Saturday Graduation and has tongues wagging nationwide. Natural get back, run on type but has a motor. PICK YOUR BATTLES will need to come out running from a wide alley but all three efforts in the first campaign were big. MOORUMBINE ran well on debut and draws soft to enjoy a good run. WINNIE’S WINE was strongly last preparation. This could be a good form reference race. Numbers: 6 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – TINTO BELLE WIN Race 4 STAFFORD’S LAD should be ready to show his best. His last three have all caught the eye and dropping out of a 60+ Saturday race back into a 58+ C5 at his home track looks a suitable assignment. OMBUDSMAN is racing well and will be winning a staying race very soon. Drawn a gate, sits over the speed and good use of a 1.5kg claim. PERSISTENCE TIME is a hard horse to catch but on his day could lead them a merry dance. DOC FRIAR is an out and out stayer. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – STAFFORD’S LAD WIN Race 5 VISION AND PRAYER has come back a bigger and better mare this time in and Brock Lewthwaite has her firing on all cylinders. She is leading and rolling and setting some very strong sections. She’ll look to run rivals off their feet and reproducing either of her last two ratings sees her go mighty close. MR KUNAFA will make a race of it and likely opens a deserving favourite. He is progressive and settles in a far better spot in running than his most recent. TOO FAT TOO SLOW chases along the fence. IONYX should be almost ready to run a cheeky race. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – VISION AND PRAYER WIN Race 6 ICE TRADE is improving with racing and there are very few stables who possess the winning strike rate of Michael Lane over the last 5 months. His horses are winning left right and center and Ice Trade should sit midfield and prove hard to beat. GEOGRAPHE BAY has the ability to win at least a C1 and probably a C3 but does a lot wrong. JADAVI was a big maiden win. Interesting to see if she can reproduce. POKEMON PETE was a long time out and will improve into the preparation. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – ICE TRADE WIN Race 7 COCKY DODD has a real X-Factor about him. Nothing went right in his four start preparation last campaign but willing to forgive and forget. Second to Adornment in February reads up really well and Mitch Pateman is steering very well. LADIES OF LONDON caught the eye first-up over 1000 and is far better suited at 1200. RIVER BEAU almost scored back to back wins last time out and the clock suggests that was a strongly run race. BANJO MAN has done nothing wrong this preparation. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – COCKY DODD EACHWAY Quad (Race 4 – 7) 1,2,5,8 1,3 1,4,5 1,3,4,7 Market Market
