Scott Embry’s Sunday Broome Preview Posted on June 25, 2022June 27, 2022 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 LINDRAM WALTER and CONTENTO BOY go head to head from the Sean & Jake Casey yard. LINDRAM WALTER hasn’t raced on the dirt which is always a minor query, but generally speaking Sean & Jake’s go well at their first dirt attempt. Thinking that if Bonnie Palise can kick through to nearly lead this he’ll take beating. Hasn’t been seen since his January trial win over 1000 at Belmont Park and did sit in the breeze on two occasions at Belmont Park. Nice race for him. CONTENTO BOY has the Broome track experience. He’s knocking the door down. ZARMELLA has no weight and will work across from a wide gate. OUR GIRL BORAM can go well at her Angela Smith debut. Numbers: 5 – 4 – 9 – 11 Suggested Bet – LINDRAM WALTER WIN RACE 2 KITGUM gets his chance in a wide open C2 event. His first run in a 58+ when tracking the speed was solid, finishing only 3L off Danehill Storm, Powerful and Kennedy. Last start he was drawn 11 of 11 and copped a bump which completely knocked him out of the race. Thinking he can get across into a commanding position here and like the fact that Jess Gray sticks. TRISUEM ran really well at her first start on the dirt. Every time she steps out over further she becomes more and more dangerous and more and more attractive. TRUE MOON heads North and is race fit. Just needs to step. MOUNTAIN ASH was disappointing first-up but he should lead pretty comfortably here. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – KITGUM EACHWAY RACE 3 MEGADON comes from a hot 70+ behind Pit To Win. So far this season the two highest rating races have both belonged to Pit To Win so we’ll use him as the best form reference in the region for now. Should only improve out in trip and gets in with only 52kg after the claim of Luke Campbell. Looks a rack and stack affair which should allow him to be put into the race at the 600. DIAMOND TONIQUE was really strong late in betting first-up. Just laboured on straightening but held his own late. Always a winning chance in these 70+ races. HONOVI is going really well. Risks a huge ratings penalty if he was to win but he’s actually going well enough to. TURBO POWER didn’t jump first-up. If he leads it could be a different scenario. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – MEGADON WIN RACE 4 DANEHILL STORM won a 58+ 1200m race two starts ago when leading throughout and then went to a 1000m race where he was destined on paper to sit three deep the trip. Was planted out deep the trip but never gave it away. Can lead this and so far the fence is on fire at Broome. GUARDED looks the logical danger and every bit capable of sitting in the breeze and winning. Going great guns and has only 53.5kg with the Luke Campbell claim. KENNEDY can box seat on the pair and run well. PRICE DEVOUTLY has taken a few meetings to be unleashed. Interesting to see how he goes. Real hit or miss type. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – DANEHILL STORM WIN RACE 5 CASINO WAR should go close to winning again. She was having her first start in a long while (18 November 2020 to 4 June 2022) when racing first-up for the Anthony Barton yard. Gave Anthony his first winner as a trainer and should go close to giving him his second. She’s a more than capable mare and she was bolting throughout last start. Watching the replay she was winning from the 800. UNDER THE RADAR went round shorter than her in the same race and meets her a whopping 5.5kg better at the weights. Keep safe. SO BIRIKKINO is really quick. If he jumps and runs he might give some serious cheek. Does paddle late. GORGEOUS GUS should nearly get across, especially if they string out. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – CASINO WAR WIN RACE 6 MANY MANSIONS looks to have found a suitable race. Lots of these horses are coming out of the same race behind Guarded on 4 June. Many Mansions that day had his first outing on the dirt and meets them all considerably better at the weights (many of whom he beat home) with the 3kg claim. Comes across and if he can find the breeze he’s very hard to beat. KENTUCKY DREAM has been the replay run of the meeting at both starts so far. Scratched from a C2 mile last meeting to save for this C1 1300. If he jumps it’s very much game on. TESTIFYING will come out running and try to get across. ORNAMENTAL BELLE ran really well in a 58+ behind City Regal. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – MANY MANSIONS WIN RACE 7 IN THE BAG is a punters pal and see no reason why he won’t win again. He’s a Broome specialist, he’s ridden to perfection by Jess Gray and he’s a proven weight carrier having won previously with 60kg. The harder and faster they go the better he seems to go and he can either lead or take the sit. Near impossible to fault at the minute. NEVARDA meets him 5.5kg better and is drawn barrier 1. Provided he doesn’t get shuffled too far back he’ll be closing that margin you’d think. REDWOOD RISING looks like the annual Broome Cup horse purchase for Darryn Pateman and a few of his loyal clients. Never missed the money at a mile. KORANIS has a tricky gate but is going well. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – IN THE BAG WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 7,8 1,3,4 1,2,5,6,7 2 Market Market
