Was good two starts ago behind Ruby Jean when sitting deep the trip but disappointed when unable to reel in Throttle last start. From the inside gate she gets every conceivable and Kyra Yuill can lift her home. OXBRIDGE was given a nice run on debut and didn’t really let down like he did at trials. Can improve with race experience. MISS PINS has knocked on the door all preparation. RETURN A SMILE a new comer to the region who was supported first-up in the provincial area. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – PEGGIE’S JOY WIN RACE 2 CALLING CARD looked good at trials and the well bred War Chant gelding looks hard to beat on debut. From the gate expecting him to take up a forward position and possibly even kick through. Should take beating. FANGIO was formerly with Lindsey Smith but never made it to the races. Recent trial was sharp. CATIA will enjoy the fact that this is only a 1000m scamper. KHUN WESLEY next best. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – CALLING CARD WIN RACE 3 ATHLONE CASTLE won well two starts ago and then was far from disgraced behind smart type Lickety Split in a heat of the SkyracingTV provincial championships series. From the gate Edwards should have him poised to strike just behind them. COLD AS COLD has taken a while to warm this preparation. Not quite showing the same turn of foot as previous seasons. MONGOLIAN WARLORD capable from the draw. MAGIC OPUS always a winning chance in this grade. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 7 – 5 Suggested Bet – ATHLONE CASTLE WIN RACE 4 BELLE OF LIBERTY jumps off the page. Her trials at Bunbury have been solid and her race form is outstanding. Winner of 2 from 4 with 2 other minor placings. She should lead and that’s the last they should see of her. WHAT ABOUT MOSES is the testing material. Won well at Albany to start the preparation and is a very good c58+ galloper. He can still measure up in town. LITTLE PUNGA is coming to the end of a long preparation but contuse to race well. LONG KNIFE BROTHER can mix form but best is good enough. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – BELLE OF LIBERTY WIN RACE 5 MASS EFFECT has been consistent all throughout the campaign and only three starts ago was within three quarters of a length of War Ksar. That is as good as the staying form gets in Albany. His last two have been in the Listed Bull & Bush Tavern Cup and a metro 66+. Back in grade, back in trip, hard to beat. TORU WAIMARIE has had an interrupted season but on her day she has a turn of foot capable of winning this race. CLEO’S AFTERPARTY has no weight after the claim of Madi Derrick. DEEL RED is more than capable of leading from start to finish. Numbers: 1 – 11 – 10 – 6 Suggested Bet – MASS EFFECT WIN RACE 6 TRADE STORM has been a revelation of late. Maiden winner only three starts ago as a 6 year old and then only beaten by Miss Dominican at Ascot, who herself went on to run third to Tuscan Queen in an Oaks and then last time out proved too strong for talented Wolfe 3 year old Sowar. Gets better ever time and can overcome big hurdles of 62kg and gate 12. TAKE ME HOME HONEY finally got the ‘W’ on the board last start after a super consistent season. BREAK THE CHAIN will be rough but this is a nice race for him. LAGUNA MOUNTAINS has solid Eastern States form and now blinkers on. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – TRADE STORM WIN RACE 7 SEA WAR won first-up like a horse who would be going straight through the grades. From the draw Brodie Kirby can have him midfield and within striking distance of the likely danger in Danehill Storm. Reproduces his debut effort and he is awfully hard to beat. DANEHILL STORM finally broke through last start after a long run of minor placings. Didn’t just win, absolutely bolted in. Remains in C2 company and only carries an extra 1.5kg. DYNAMITE BAY has big weight relief and can rebound to some form of earlier in the season. UNIVERSAL APPEAL is suited in these country C2 races. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – SEA WAR WIN RACE 8 KARINIJI AURORA is only having start number four but she has been super impressive at all runs. Copped a big bump on debut rounding the turn and chased hard behind Cliffs of Comfort, then beat Miss Margaux and won soft last time out in a C1. This is harder but she is progressive. THUNDER BOOM has been super all preparation. First-up, no trial sat three deep the trip no cover and beat Mood Goddess fair and square. Won effortlessly last start at a trip and now comes back to a mile. Well placed with the claim. FOXY PRINCESSS is an unknown at the trip but has a turn of acceleration. CHHAYA back in trip is an improver. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 6 – 2 Suggested Bet – KARIJINI AURORA WIN RACE 9 CAPTIVATED POINT is always very hard to beat when he comes back to Great Southern racing. His last two have been a 66+ and a 60+ in town behind the likes of Regal Counsel and Sherpa Lass. That is super form for a c70. POTENT SECRET is racing really well and the veteran deserves to notch another win. Will appreciate not having stablemate Tranquilla Sunrise in the field. REALISE POTENTIAL is in a rich vein of form.
