Scott Embry’s Saturday Pinjarra Preview Posted on January 9, 2020January 13, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 CHIX CHATTER trialed impressively over 400 when looking a natural jump and run type and then backed it up when scoring over 950m. David Harrison’s 2 year olds last week (Gemma’s Son and Sunnysilk) went well and he looks a live chance. PRECAUTIONARY is a great opportunity for visiting apprentice Harry Grace to ride his first WA metro winner. She trialed like a nice filly. LA FAROLA looks forward from the trials. BRAZEN ARROW ran well on debut in the initial plate. Numbers: 3 – 9 – 8 – 1 Suggested Bet – CHIX CHATTER WIN Race 2 NEAT ACTION lead two starts ago and was run down by stablemate and subsequent Saturday winner in Beffunjar. Last start went well from a wide alley. In a race without a natural leader Steve Parnham may elect to roll forward and attempt to find the top. Definite eachway hope. I HOPE YOU DANCE is the first runner on what could be a big day for local trainer Brett Pope. Put the writing on the wall last start and draws soft. BRAVE CALL races from back in the field but has a turn of foot. MEXI COLA could be looking for further but has always shown ability. Numbers: 2 – 9 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – NEAT ACTION EACHWAY Race 3 FIRESALE sat three deep the trip first-up when looming the winner and then seemingly stumbled and blundered for no apparent reason. Absolutely no luck again last start from a wide gate. Third up, drawn soft and senior rider on points to a peak performance. FLIRTY FRIARS could be left in front and from there can run a race at a price. PERCEPTIVE MISS won well last start in a race which produced subsequent winner Over There. KELLY’S GEM has been off the scene for a long time but trailed very well over 1450. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 5 – 2 Suggested Bet – FIRESALE WIN Race 4 SNIPPY MISS is an obvious query on paper at 1500m but the way she has been racing since returning as a 3 year old suggest she has been looking for this trip. Last start effort was strong in a better quality of race than this and Pike will have here one out and one back getting every possible chance. NO APOLOGY was big last weekend. Finished 7th but that was a grand effort circumstances considered. CALL AGAIN ran well last start behind impressive filly Tycoon Storm. GOTTA MOTOR rolls forward in a race devoid of speed. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 3 Suggested Bet – SNIPPY MISS WIN Race 5 BRITISH BESSY backs up off 7 days from the Perth Cup when well beaten but not disgraced. From the gate Joey Azzopardi will have her in the first four in running with a tactical advantage over the favourite. She should get the run of the race and is every chance of causing the mini boilover. NOT TO BE MIST arguably should be eight wins from 9 starts with replays showing he was probably only beaten ‘fair and square’ once in his career. First crack at 2000m, 60kg and could end up last. Interesting to see how he goes. HIGH ENERGY could be left alone in front. ACONITE ran well last start in a fast run 1800m. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet –BRITISH BESSY WIN Race 6 MASCHINO MISS won well first-up off the back of a strong trial effort. She jumped well and was taken to the top by Kristy Bennett who is running them along when finding the front. She won well and there is no reason why she can’t produce a similar dose here second-up. GATES OF BABYLON was backed off the maps first-up and was a good thing beaten when tramping extremely wide the trip. Not jumping cleanly and a ton of speed underneath. PREVAILING WINDS is racing very well and should get across. DISTANT TRILOGY goes for Paul Harvey. Keep safe. Numbers: 1 – 5 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – MASCHINO MISS EACHWAY Race 7 ABBY LANE was enormous first-up no trial behind State Attorney in a race run 3L faster than average. That form has already produced a winner in Truth and Lies and second-up she draws soft in a race lacking tempo. Should get every chance and looks very well placed. HORIZON produced a big turn of foot last start to score. Looks the danger from one out, one back. SERENTITY BAY will need an ounce of luck from a wide gate. NOBELIUM can’t draw a gate but is flying. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 10 – 8 Suggested Bet – ABBY LANE WIN Race 8 WRINKLY ran out of his skin last start at 1200m. He is far better suited at 1400 and is tough as old boots. He can either lead or stalk Snowchino from the gate and give backers a brave sight at double figures. SNOWCHINO backs up off 7 days and importantly drops in distance. She raced too fiercely for her own good last week when running 1400m type sections over 1800. DANCE MUSIC should get the run of the race, the only query is 1400 for her. LORDHELPMERUN ran well last start and looks to have recaptured form. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 6 – 8 Suggested Bet – WRINKLY EACHWAY Race 9 REBEL YELL has come back to racing in wonderful form so far this campaign. His first-up win was super after being given a peach by Jade McNaught and then was brave chasing Carocapo two starts back. No luck last start when left in the cheap seats. That race has produced winners Undisclosed and Speeding Comet and Essential Spice’s third to Fabergino. Maps to get every chance one out and one back. STATE ATTORNEY needs to draw soft to suit his fierce race pattern. He gets that again here. FLOWER OF WAR looks likely to work forward to the breeze again as she did last start. DANNY GEORGE has easily enough ability to win this. Numbers: 5 – 8 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – REBEL YELL EACHWAY Race 10 PLAYING MARIKA has been enormous at her last two runs. Two starts ago chased incredibly hard behind Patristic in a race almost 5L faster than average and then lost all winning chances at her most recent after missing the kick. Her closing sections were brilliant and with a clean get away she gets her chance. SO OF BACCHUS has got himself a tag as a non-winner but hard to fault his form. MISTY LAD should get a nice run behind the speed and Paul Harvey on catches the eye. LUCKY LINDA LULU had no luck last start and senior rider goes on. Numbers: 12 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – PLAYING MARIKA WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 1,2,3,4,5,6 1,2,3,5 1,7 1,2,3,5,6,12 Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 3,4,10 3,5,6,8 3,4,5,8 1,3,4,11,12 Market Market
