Scott Embry’s Saturday Geraldton Preview Posted on February 26, 2026February 27, 2026 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 SHE’SATROOPER comes to Geraldton out of Esperance and two of her last four have been good enough to win this at an eachway quote. The third to Kirrily and Reign in the Cash at 1600 and then again last start when going within a length of winning a C2 1990. One of many chances. EXTRA ZERO is Extra Zero. No doubt my phone will light up one day with an excited O’Malley or Ryan or Voss ready to shove his victory in my face after a series of hyperbolic criticisms of their beloved maiden, but for now, I’ll continue to lay and add an extra zero to the account balance! Jokes aside – he should be going very close here. BAMBUN GIRL needs a run (E1) but was really good in the same race last start. SUPER SAIYAN did run third first-up behind The Scholar and Bradbury’s Moment. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 9 – 3 Suggested Bet – SHE’SATROOPER EACHWAY RACE 2 ALLA PING has run fourth at all three starts to date but looks a big chance of going a few better here, especially with Tash Faithfull jumping aboard and a set of winkers being added to her gear. She loomed the winner last start but didn’t quite finish off, so like the headgear being applied and she should get the right run from her ideal barrier. LOONA DAWN beat her home in that race but has now had another three runs since. She’ll be right on speed and in the thick of things again. DAZZLING BOBBY was wide and green on debut. Has the fence to follow around here which should help a lot. WITHOUT A PADDLE didn’t trial too bad behind Cinque Stelle at Belmont recently. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 5 – 10 Suggested Bet – ALLA PING WIN RACE 3 KARRI ON has been a model of consistency this preparation and this looms as her most winnable race of the campaign to date. She did it tough last start wide throughout and considering the run she was alright late to be only beaten 4L (winner won by nearly 3). Back to a C1, drawn to get the run she needs and deserves to break through. WEAPONIZE ran really well fresh in the same race beating her home. Was cover vs no cover between the pair but it was certainly still an extremely encouraging return. COZZIES CHOICE comes through the Versaille / Hillside Horace race and that’s just as strong. The query is the concussion plates. SALVADO has Tash Faithfull booked which is interesting considering she rode the stablemate and likely favourite last start? Numbers: 7 – 9 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – KARRI ON WIN RACE 4 BAYHARA went to a 60+ Graduation at Ascot last start when fourth behind Lillian (since won a 66+), Classic Impact and Southern Firetail (both race in a 60+ 1800 on Saturday at Ascot. She’s back into a bit of form again and this looks a really nice race for her on paper. Think she can turn the tables on Miff Muffered Moof and hold out the new challengers to make it a third win track/distance. TRUEVINSKY has to carry 63kg which is a big ask but he did run third to Sowar and Noahquintilly in the Walkaway Cup and then was really good in a Westspeed Platinum mile on Magic Millions Day behind True Player in a race where the backmarkers were under the pump a long way from home to make any ground. MIFF MUFFERED MOOF won a near identical race to this only two starts back. MISS WALL STREET is certainly racing like she’ll get ground. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 4 Suggested Bet – BAYHARA WIN RACE 5 SPARKLE CORNER nearly beat Scurgeofthewest last start and outside of On The Mark think he’s the best horse in the region at the minute (with respect to horses like Bolta and Snippety Legend too) so happy to follow that form reference and suggest that Sparkle Corner will be hard to get past here. DEEP DISCRETION looked hard to beat last start on paper and was well found in betting, but didn’t think she would put an extending 2.75L gap on them late. That was the most impressive win of her career and after the Rocky Cheung claim she’ll drop 4.5kg coming into 58+ company. Think she can take the step off that emphatic win. THE RUSH is always around the mark. ALTERNO ran well last start at odds. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – SPARKLE CORNER WIN RACE 6 ON THE MARK is probably talent wise one of the better horses that Giaan O’Donnell has partnered so far on race day in her fledging riding career. He’s quirky, he can miss the kick, he can pull but he is also capable of parking four and five deep and monstering rivals as we’ve seen on occasion. Fingers crossed the best version turns up and he can pinch another Geraldton win before heading to Perth. KOTE made a nice WA Debut at Belmont Park and should get across into a nice spot. PRINCE RAGNAR simply went too hard for his own good last start and ran out of petrol tickets late. Did keep fighting though which was impressive. LEONARDO DA GREY is E1. If he gains a start he’s a big player. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 13 Suggested Bet – ON THE MARK WIN RACE 7 YAPPER won back to back races in Geraldton before Barry Newnham had a throw at the stumps into a Listed Race at Ascot in the Challenge Stakes. He was beaten a 7L margin but by horses like Playin’ It Sweet, Dominatus, Aberdeen Flyer and Linchpin – quality animals who are lengths better than anything he will meet in the Midwest. Right back into a C2 and expecting his class to shine through. TRULY GALLANT is a talented horse who will be winning many more races for his astute connections who purchased this full brother to a Group One winner for a mere $3250 Online. Natika Riordan is also absolutely flying. If Holly Nottle wasn’t going as good as she is everyone would be talking about Natika. Claiming apprentices going at 15% is elite areas. SHOOT TO FAME should be primed third-up from a spell. HILLSIDE HORACE has put in two solid runs and one map forgive in between. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – YAPPER WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3,4,5 1,6 1,2,13 1,3 Market Market
