Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on May 3, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BROKER should get a soft run behind likely leader Discoville and was ultra impressive up in class last start. MISSILE LAUNCH likely idles outside the lead in second gear and is clearly the one to beat. DISCOVILLE broke a long drought last start and should lead. BATTLE TORQUE next. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – BROKER WIN Race 2 MARKET RULER could not have been more impressive on debut and then ran an eye catcher in the Karrakatta after his race was over with the barrier draw. BLACK SABBATH looks a ready made race horse but runs into a nice one on debut and conceeds it a start. POSITION OF POWER was sound at his most recent trial. SUPER STARDOM has won 2 of 3 but goes close again. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – MARKET RULER WIN SuperPick - Race 2 No. 5 Market Ruler - Win Boost Race 3 GOLGOTHA finds yet another new home but trialed up well and falls into a winnable Saturday race fresh. FATHNOXIOUS was never good two starts ago and then shocking last start. DELICATE MISS is a huge query past 1000m but this field is soft. PURIST next best. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 2 – 7 Suggested Bet – GOLGOTHA WIN Race 4 FORTY FOUR RED is a question at a mile but for the first time in a while gets a weight relief, a soft draw and should lead at a walk. Can kick at the top and go close. ROSE’S SHADOW was a nice winner in midweek grade and that form held up on Wednesday. DANEFIN goes close if he can position up outside the lead. WITNESS IN COURT has put in two shockers but can do that. Numbers: 3 – 7 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – FORTY FOUR RED WIN Race 5 DEBELLATIO has trialed behind some incredibly nice types this preparation and should slide forwards to sit outside the lead. From there he is the class runner and should be in the finish. SALUBRIOUS is a month between runs for a new stable, and a gun stable. MASQUERADE trialed well enough and gets a soft trip. ROCKON TOMMY needs to fix his manors but is next best. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – DEBELLATIO WIN Race 6 GALAXY STAR is one of the better trials displayed so far this year and really could be one well and truly out of the box. JINGTANG is ever consistent and was held up at crucial stages last start. THREE VOTES should lead but must have his fair share of issues behind the scenes. SNOW LORD gets the same run to last start. Numbers: 6 – 4 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – GALAXY STAR WIN Race 7 NECKLET is again drawn awkwardly but banking on Paul Harvey to find a spot in running. ARCADIA PRINCE is a nice type resuming, his effort in the Guineas was excellent. May be looking for a touch further. ENCHANTED DREAM has issues and had an awkward preparation. NIGHT VOYAGE next best. Numbers: 3 – 8 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – NECKLET WIN Race 8 MASTER MAGICIAN was gifted a perfect run by Pateman at a rare metro ride last start and the Provincial Prince bypasses a full book at Kalgoorlie to steer for the Export King. MISSISSIPPI DELTA is a progressive mare on the rise quickly through the grades. AT THE READY gets a nice weight relief care of Kirby and drawn well. RESPONDENT has been racing in exclusively harder for years. Numbers: 2 – 7 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – MASTER MAGICIAN EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 1,2,3 1,4,6 3,8 1,2,3,7 Bet Now
