Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on April 27, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 TAXAGANO has won three on the bounce and looks suited to stepping up in trip. Only concern is getting posted 3 deep. ONE SHORT is a query at the ttrip but gets a soft run. ELEGANT BLAST is capable of going back and storming past them again. RAGAZZO D’ORO can be forgiven for whatever went wrong last start. Numbers: 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – TAXAGANO WIN Race 2 AMALIE ARGOT likely finds the front and then hands up to get the run of the race. Nice filly in the making. STAGEMAN is also undefeated and gets the right run for him. FABERGINO pulls like a train and will likely end up in front. ALPHA SKY very impressive on debut and could be a nice one. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – AMALIE ARGOT EACHWAY Race 3 LUCKY ROAR should fire straight to the top and dictate terms. From there she is the one to run down. IN LOVE WITH PARIS is awkwardly drawn but going great guns. ARCTIC STREAM is not really suited at Ascot and needs to balance and wind-up. GIFTED WARRIOR gets a cosy trip. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – LUCKY ROAR WIN Race 4 SEASIDE SERENADE is a progressive going from strength to strength and showed a bit of versatility last start. ROGANELLA trialed like a bomb and will take a stack of beating. ANVIL GREEN is definitely one to consider at a price, hard to catch but maps well for him. AVIDUS either leads or box seats. Numbers: 11 – 6 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – SEASIDE SERENADE WIN Race 5 THE CELT has put together 4 equally impressive runs since joining Anne King’s yard and if he can run out a strong 1400m is right in it. PINZU falls into his most winnable race of the preparation. RED PUBLISHER always goes round at a backable price and will be there abouts. WAR GOD was excellent fresh. Numbers: 5 – 2 – 7 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE CELT WIN Race 6 LADY COSMOLOGY was more than brave in the Karrakatta Plate. Kept coming when she looked gone on the corner. Can turn the tables here. VALOUR ROAD is unlikely to find the front but if he does will take some serious running down. LORDHELPMERUN ran third in the Karrakatta and no surprise to see him fill a hole again. BAM’S ON FIRE needs some luck to go her way finally. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 2 – 10 Suggested Bet – LADY COSMOLOGY WIN Race 7 ENTICING STAR is certainly not a best bet because she will go around at prohibitive figures and could be back in traffic but she is very exciting. SECRET ASSAULT could find the front for the first time this preparation and grows a leg infront. ARAFURA is a nice type with a short sprint. SPEEDING COMET can do it tough. Numbers: 13 – 8 – 10 – 2 Suggested Bet – SECRET ASSAULT PLACE Race 8 BELTER has been reeling off incredible sectionals with a postage stamp weight. If he can reproduce with more weight then they’ll struggle to catch him. LOCKROY was no match first-up but then dominated rivals on the Cray Coast. They’re the two. MAX ALMIGHTY gets it soft with a winnable weight. STAR GLITTER next. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – BELTER WIN Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,5 1,8 8,13 1,2 Bet Now
