It was a slow burn early (took her 9 starts to win a race) but since then she’s really come of age and seemingly improved at each and every run. Gunned down Ruler Rocket and Rupert’s Empire before finishing three-quarters off Snowdome. Maps to enjoy an economical passage and clearly runs for Luke Campbell. EX SPORT GIRL has only tasted defeat at the hands of Leniency this preparation. She’s come back bigger and better and can kick through and lead these if that’s where they want to be. Shades go back on. RUMOUR SAYS bombed the start and then ran really well all things considered. Draw makes things tough. POT SHOT is never far from the action. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – COSMOPOLITAN GIRL WIN RACE 2 FOREVER DREAMING looks the map horse here. Call Again will no doubt roll along out in front and Forever Dreaming can sit leader’s back and enjoy that lovely tow-ball run into the race. She’s been very consistent all preparation and the race she did win first-up was from leader’s back. Gets her chance to pinch another one. SESSIONS PEAK really caught the eye late in the race last week. He’s probably still better suited at Belmont Park on a rain affected track but he’s getting close now. CALL AGAIN doesn’t win out of turn but he’ll sneak away from them and lead throughout to win one in the coming months. AWESOME CHATTER was well below his best last start and maps awkwardly. Numbers: 3 – 4 – 2 – 1 Suggested Bet – FOREVER DREAMING WIN RACE 3 LEGACY OF TARA was one of the runs of the meeting at her return. She was first-up, no trial in a 66+ and got to the line strongly after finding bad traffic on straightening. Drops back into a 60+ Graduation second-up, regains the services of a senior rider and can roll forward to find a spot over the speed. If Protected Action goes quick there should be a spot for her and if she gets a half decent run she’s hard to run down. BRAVE VENTURE is a classy horse. He’s the winner of 3 from 5 and his recent trial suggests he’s back just as good as what he was when he went to the paddock. He has a big turn of foot in his weaponry. MICHELADA can box seat and get a soft run. MISS FIELD reunites with Brad Rawiller. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 3 – 4 Suggested Bet – LEGACY OF TARA WIN RACE 4 CISCOJOE has been a model of consistency this preparation. He won a 60+ 1600 going back four starts ago and has since finished fourth to Birdieagle and Weaponson, third to Weaponson and Birdieagle and then third behind Mountain Ash and Classic Rogue. In a race completely devoid of speed he can kick through to hold up leader’s back and from there if he gets a crack at them in the straight he should go well. CLASSIC ROGUE has definitely turned a corner. Every horse drops considerable weight off recent encouters with the addition of True Attraction to the field. WEE RIPPER is versatile. They could go forward if they chose to. SAID NO ONE EVER has won his last two in style including the Albany Cup. Numbers: 6 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – CISCOJOE WIN RACE 5 SNOWDOME got the job done last weekend and bounced back to a bit of form. Seems a harsh thing to say about a horse who first-up finished on the heels of Ginger Green and Western Knight, but since his wins in the Sires Produce and 3 year old Classic there’s been a big expectation on his shoulders. Provided he can hold up from the inside he looks the testing material again. BEADS has raced in the Rock Magic Stakes and Roma Cup since his last 72+ victory at Pinjarra down the straight. Not disgraced in either feature and maps a treat here. STATE OF POWER has a booming finish when she’s on song. THOMAS MAGNUM didn’t seem to run out 1200. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 5 – 8 Suggested Bet – SNOWDOME WIN RACE 6 NEVER SOBER takes a few runs to build into his campaigns. First-up he finished 4.4L off Stellar Vista, Forever Dreaming and subsequent winner Blazing Tycoon. Last start he was better behind Heaps of Moolah. Thinking this is their opportunity to roll forward and then take over on the back of Heaps Of Moolah/Dance Of The South who will take you well into the race. Tricky 1800m affair and he looks one of many hopes. TENACIOUS REWARD is savaging the line and racing like the extra ground will really suit him. RUSTY SPIRIT gets W.Pike back and he has been a great find this preparation. QUEEN OF JERUSALEM is better than her latest showing. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 8 – 11 Suggested Bet – NEVER SOBER EACHWAY RACE 7 LIVE TO TELL had to put on the afterburners to get the job done in the Gimcrack Stakes. She turned 13th of 13 and over 1100m at Ascot that’s not a spot that many winners come from. She had to reel off the exact same (to the millisecond) L400 as Amelia’s Jewel in the Roma Cup to get over them and her last 50m was simply breathtaking. If she can settle a pair closer in the run and produce the same closing splits, she will take serious beating. SUPER SMINK looked home in the Gimcrack and it took a star to get over her late. She looks the obvious danger if you’re of the opinion that the girls are better than the boys. WILEY GIRL exploded when the gaps appeared last start. RIPCORD won the Perth Stakes off a 400m jump out. Big respect. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 9 – 2 Suggested Bet – LIVE TO TELL WIN RACE 8 BELLA NIPOTINA ran well first-up in the Black Caviar Lightning Stakes at Flemington behind Coolangatta and subsequent TJ Smith winner I Wish I Win. Put in a shocker second-up in the Newmarket but bounced back to form in the William Reid when finishing second to Imperitriz. Drawn a gate to enjoy a soft run behind a genuine tempo (Shades of Rose, Massimo, Red Can Man, Uncommon James, Asfoora) and from there she’s dangerous late. Proven at WFA and any rain Thursday night will only help her cause. AMELIA’S JEWEL is a star and in hindsight barrier 14 of 14 may not turn out to be a bad thing. Recent Winterbottom Stakes (WFA 1200) winners Paulele and Graceful Girl came from last. If she’s good enough she’ll overcome the obstacle, and she’s very good. UNCOMMON JAMES will have to chance his hand and roll forward. If he finds a spot his Oakleigh Plate and Galaxy form is exceptional. TRIX OF THE TRADE is a real X-Factor runner. Numbers: 10 – 14 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – BELLA NIPOTINA WIN RACE 9 BABY PARIS didn’t get the rub of the green in the Roma Cup. She was caught four deep throughout and all things considered thought she actually ran quite well. She’s drawn alongside Acromantula this time and with a clean get away she can camp on the leader and present on straightening. Think she’s a massive improver from the draw and a bit of a forgotten horse in the race. ACROMANTULA is yet to win at 1200m but his run in the Roma Cup proves he’s got no issue with the distance. He finished behind Amelia’s Jewel and Red Can Man and beat home Quokka starters Resortman, Bustler and Massimo. Hard to run down. COMFORT ME just can’t buy a map. Needs an ounce of luck to get across. STARTRADE sectionally wasn’t too bad first-up. Numbers: 13 – 6 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – BABY PARIS EACHWAY RACE 10 TOP OF THE POPS was disappointing first-up, second-up he was clearly better but at the same time thought he was going to gobble up He’s Gold for the entire length of the home straight. Clearly he isn’t quite at the same level that saw him go 4 from 4 as a 2 year old and return with a blistering fourth in the 3 year old Classic. The way he’s racing the 1400m should suit and he’ll enjoy a soft midfield run. KNOT SECRET ran well from a shocking alley first-up. He’s drawn to get a much better run in transit here. Comes on quickly in his preparations. STARRING KNIGHT didn’t have much room to move last week. Forgive and forget. GINGER BAKER isn’t easy to catch but he’s got ability. Numbers: 3 – 6 – 9 – 1 Suggested Bet – TOP OF THE POPS WIN Quaddie (Race 7 – 10) 6 4,10,14 1,6,13 3,6,9 Market Market
