Scott Embry’s Sunday Port Hedland Preview Posted on August 2, 2019August 5, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 JESTER DINI took 26 starts to finally break through but has amazingly found a brilliant assignment to make it 2 from 27. Nat Burke’s team are low flying and Bennett will let him run. Pike trio PRINCESS ROSE, HEROIC WORDS and PRINCESS SHARI will be the ones chasing and all are capable of winning. Wide open start to the day. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – JESTER DINI WIN Race 2 THE GOSPEL SIN has his first ever start on the dirt which is naturally a concern but if he can handle the surface and be within 3 lengths of the leaders as they hit the grass he will fly late. Talented type with a stack of ability. NICKLAKLU is fool proof and always runs well in this grade. MYTHICAL TRUST is racing a touch below his best, but the claim helps. RED GLOW is not going well but Peter Farrell travels him across and throws the shades on. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – THE GOSPEL SIN WIN Race 3 SASSO’S CIRCUS is only going moderately at the minute but the mile is his best trip. Back to the right distance, Troy Turner heading up to ride he’ll give a big showing. Only a moderate line up and he looks the one. VOLKSWAGON FRANK is ever consistent and should position midfield. SALVAGED is ready to win another after a few encouraging efforts. TAGADA may find the front in which case he improves. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 6 Suggested Bet – SASSO’S CIRCUS WIN Race 4 KING COOL is racing extremely well at the minute. Steps up to 68+ for the feature sprint but with the weight relief and an in form hoop he can sit right over the speed and get every possible. ANVIL GREEN is a Port Hedland specialist who should get the right run. FRINGED showed a bit last start after being out of form. GONE AND GOT IT is always working home strongly at the finish. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 5 – 1 Suggested Bet – KING COOL WIN Race 5 THE CHORISTER was beaten after 20m last time out when well supported. He has the form around Swift Platinum and forget he went around at Roebourne. He should come out running and take beating. MICK’S TIPPIN is always there abouts and rarely runs a bad race. BOXONLUCY just doesn’t seem to be handling the surface but Port Hedland should suit her better. FORCE ELEMENT is in form and drawn to get a nice cart into it. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – THE CHORISTER WIN Race 6 SWIFT PLATINUM ran them absolutely ragged in the Roebourne Cup. This race looks to have slightly more depth but again if he can find the front or sit in the breeze he’ll be hard to catch. EVERYMILE A MEMORY gave a good account of herself at her first start on the dirt. TELL ME THIS can stay and if it is last man standing he comes into it at a price. HIGH TEA travels up to Port Hedland after almost winning one last start in the provincials. Distance a big query. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – SWIFT PLATINUM WIN Race 7 KILKENNY JOE has won two on the bounce and while drawn awkwardly here he should come out running and sit in the breeze. Bennett has been riding him extremely quietly and confidently. Looks to be winning with some in hand. BODEGA BEAU is low flying and screaming out to win another race. He will be hard to hold out. JESTER FERRARI is racing below his best but can improve. COSTA OESTE will be plugging away but may be better suited over further. Numbers: 1 – 7 – 6 – 5 Suggested Bet – KILKENNY JOE WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 4 1,2,4,5 1,2 1,7 Market Market
