Scott Embry’s Monday Northam Preview Posted on September 21, 2018September 21, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 THE GOBLIN GLIDER should sit just behind a very strong top end tempo and if Hill can box seat and get a run near the cutaway will be hard to hold out. ALCINA trialed well for her turn and her two year old form is strong. ANGRY ANNIE found the front and won a weak maiden at Kalgoorlie, should jump and run again. I NEEDA CARDY will get back but the speed will be hot and she will get last crack at them. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – THE GOBLIN GLIDER WIN Race 2 CRISTAL DANE was $4 into $2.30 first-up this preparation when striking trouble at the 600m and never really getting back into the race when leader Prince Andrei was off and gone. Trialed enormous and should be running over the top of them. FIRST STRIKE was well commissioned on a number of occasions in her 2 year old season. Blinkers on, Pike on, probably opens favourite. TOTAL DISC will be at odds and gets back but looks to have the ability to win a maiden. JOY’S BOY is honest but drawn awkwardly. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – CRISTAL DANE WIN Race 3 PLETTO runs exactly the same as her older half brother Dickoletto. She has an exaggerated stride and looks big and awkward but was impressed with her trials and her debut run was very strong. She can give this a shake. LEADING GIRL has trialed well for this sort of trip. Sure to meet with plenty of support. LADY SASS has been scratched atleast three times before finally lobbing into this race. Form around True Defender looks wonderful. COOL WILL can roll forwards and sit on the speed. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 3 – 2 Suggested Bet – PLETTO WIN Race 4 CUP NIGHT simply ran into a nice one first-up. There was nothing wrong with his run and Mystery Miss has opened a $1.60 favourite in a Saturday class 3 year old race. Drawn the cutaway looks perfect for him to settle three back the fence and shoot home. SOY TAN RAPIDO leads them up and from there is the one to run down. BRELLETA FIVE will improve with racing and was a shade unlucky on debut. PORPHYRIO was a reasonable enough trial for her debut. Numbers: 1 – 6 – 7 – 8 Suggested Bet – CUP NIGHT WIN Race 5 GOLDEN WALLABIE was a very strong trial and then on debut was caught deep, dragged back to last, over raced and was green throughout. It was a nice enough run and with race experience and a touch more luck from the draw can definitely win. SPORTY SPICE will open favourite and deservedly so. Debut effort when attempting to chase out and out speed machine Time to Trade was full of merit and she looks better suited sitting parked and unleashing. ALFREDA always showed glimpses for Arthur Mortimer. SPRINGTIME GIRL box seats or even leads. Numbers: 11 – 12 – 8 – 6 Suggested Bet – GOLDEN WALLABIE EACHWAY Race 6 LEXDEN EXPRESS is a 25 start maiden and at her second attempt at a trip this preparation took on older more experienced race hardened stayers. She was simply run off her feet when the sprint went on a long way from home. Worth a sneaky 2×3 at a big price. TWENTYTHREE RED is on test at the trip but has always given the impression that he would stay. DIAMONDANNIVERSARY loses Smith but should get a lovely run along the fence with a cutaway. REGENT STAR should find the front and can win. Numbers: 7 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – LEXDEN EXPRESS EACHWAY Race 7 WATIJADOO was brave last start. They ran extremely strong time in front for the entire race and he simply ran rivals into the ground. Loved the way he dug deep late and was running away from them again on the line. Can string a few together now. MAGIC LAS VEGAS looked home for all money until Sky threw up an advertisement at the 150m marker and he hit a brick wall. Gets 1kg and the cutaway. TRIPLE EXPRESS is hard to follow but money regularly comes for her. PERSISTENCE TIME has been going alright and steps out to a trip. Numbers: 1 – 3 – 8 – 7 Suggested Bet: WATIJADOO WIN Race 8 VERMONT LADY has more than enough ability to win a race of this nature. This is an easier assignment than she has met at her first two starts back from a spell and being back on top of the ground should suit. BLACK SHADOW rolls straight to the top for Jason Brown and then he controls the speed and will be very hard to run down. FANCY FOX is back into an appropriate grade and drawn the cutaway suits her. BABBLE is one to keep safe. Was a good thing beaten at Kalgoorlie two starts ago. Numbers: 3 – 5 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet: VERMONT LADY EACHWAY Race 9 EVERYTHING’S SWEET is an honest type who typically runs nice placings without really threatening the judge. Last two efforts over a mile have been excellent and this race is as weak as she will see. If she’s going to win a second race it should be this. DANISH GEM backs up off 5 days and drops back in trip. Has a nice turn of foot. SHORT BLACK ROMAN can smoke the pipe midfield and shoot up the cutaway. STORM TRADE is definitely capable with the right run and no weight. Numbers: 6 – 8 – 5 – 11 Suggested Bet – EVERYTHING’S SWEET WIN Quaddie (Race 6 – 9) 1,2,3,7,8,9 1,3 1,2,3,4,5,7 1,5,6,8,9,11 Market Market
