Scott Embry’s Friday Carnarvon Preview Posted on August 1, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 PATRONISM has run three minor placings this preparation for the premier yard of the Gascoyne. Should come out running and go close again. CARSON DRIVE continues to knock on the door to break maiden status. GRAND OPENING can improve off his first start on the dirt. ALL THAT LADY has been whacking away on the dirt but is in the mix. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 6 – 9 Suggested Bet – PATRONISM WIN Race 2 NEWMARRACARRA beat the flying Behrooz two starts ago before going past him again only to be run down late by Stride Out. This race looks his for the taking. NET PROFIT never got into it first-up. If he steps from the inside he loves the 1000 at Carnarvon. CLEVE’S WATCHING is looking for further but is honest and almost caused the upset first-up. IN THE MOSH PIT comes out of maiden grade and straight into the deep end. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – NEWMARRACARRA WIN Race 3 STRIDE OUT won well at a big price fresh. If he repeats that performance he looks set to win this race. MAGNATION was having his first start for a new trainer and first start on the dirt. Improves for the experience. VAN ISLAND was beaten 13L first-up but in a far tougher race than this. RUN FOR A REASON has dropped off a shade. Is normally ultra-consistent. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – STRIDE OUT WIN Race 4 FARALON vs ESPRESSO LASS was an intriguing battle last start. The start will be all important with FARALON drawn the inside but provided Bennett can get him away safely he either leads or sits on them and should make it a hattrick. ESPRESSO LASS is getting closer and closer to another win. BULL BAILEY rarely run a bad race. DIAMONDS FOR ALL gave huge cheek when allowed to run last start. Interesting to see if Hopwood adopts same tactics. Numbers: 1 – 4 – 3 – 6 Suggested Bet – FARALON WIN Race 5 MEGAMIND continues on his merry way. He is unstoppable at the minute and a huge horse who should carry the weight no worries. CORPORATE LARRIKIN up to 1400m is better suited and if Kennedy finds the front it could be catch me if you can. PORTRAIT LAO steps up in grade but won very well last start. HONORFIC can improve at his second dirt outing. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – MEGAMIND WIN Race 6 PREMIO MOMENTO went close last start when stepping up in trip and finding the front. Peta Edwards should have him rolling a fair way from home and this looks another winnable race. ALMASTER is better suited at 1400 than 1200 and was a nice run fresh. STRATOSPHILLY was crunched at Roebourne on Cup Day and ran well. VITAL BOOM just doesn’t finish races off. Numbers: 2 – 1 – 9 – 4 Suggested Bet – PREMIO MOMENTO WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 2,3,4 1,4 1 1,2 Market Market
