Scott Embry’s Friday Carnarvon Preview Posted on May 23, 2019May 24, 2019 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 BEHROOZ absolutely romped in fresh at his first start on the dirt. He clocked extremely good time out in front and looks to be in a similar vein to a Woomera type of last season. Goes straight through the grades. Unlikely to open in the black but jumps deep in the red. NEWMARRACARRA showed speed last start to run a good race. EXEXCEL was well below her best first start this prep. SUNSET PETE an interesting addition to the Pateman camp. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 2 – 4 Suggested Bet – BEHROOZ WIN Race 2 PREMIO MOMENTO should get the opportunity to find the front here up to 1400m and from there is the one to run down. VITAL BOOM has her first start on the dirt but recent Albany form is encouraging. THUG LIFE loomed like the winner first start for the Patemans and senior rider goes on here. SWIFTLY was a shade disappointing first-up, should improve. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – PREMIO MOMENTO WIN Race 3 HOT has showed speed in previous campaigns and trials. Should be suited on the dirt and if finding the front will be very hard to catch. OH HELL the stablemate looks the biggest danger. Lightly raced type who should win one sooner rather than later and could even hold the front. MIXED GRILL was backed at a price last start and made solid ground late. MAAHUMAN will be suited over further. Numbers: 8 – 7 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – HOT WIN Race 4 WRAPSODY was a query first up because it was her first start on the dirt. On face value was beaten a long way but was travelling and held up at crucial stages unable to hold momentum. Can be a big improver here and looks to have found a nice race. SURLEY HURLEY was an impressive winner fresh and can definitely go on with it. GERSHOM should improve from the first-up effort. ENZO THE BARBER caught the eye late. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 4 – 1 Suggested Bet – WRAPSODY WIN Race 5 RONBOY ran third albeit beaten 9 lengths first-up. Stepping up beyond a 1000m is definitely in his favour and he should be able to nearly find the front here. Can win this. SHADABLAZE has good Geraldton form but there is a bit to be desired from the Carnarvon form. MAGIC MERIT first start for a new trainer here. Typically races off speed so drawn inside is not ideal. ROSA FILENTE is better than the first Carnarvon effort this campaign. Numbers: 4 – 8 – 9 – 5 Suggested Bet – RONBOY WIN Race 6 MEGAMIND and BALMONTGOMERY both come from the same race and both look like fighting out the finish again. If MEGAMIND can hold the front from the inside in the early stages then he should be able to turn the tables. BALMONTGOMERY was flying late and recorded an impressive win. SUPER SAXON never got going last start, can improve at odds. COOL DYNAMITE looks like picking one up soon. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 12 – 9 Suggested Bet – MEGAMIND WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 7,8 1,3,5,6,8 4,5,8,9 1,2 Market Market
