Scott Embry’s Friday Carnarvon Preview Posted on June 26, 2025June 26, 2025 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 CASINO ROYALE looks ready to win. Solid Dirt Debut behind Le Troy and then was making a sustained run at them second-up behind Battle On Battler. Now gets out to 1400m, gets the services of leading country hoop Tash Faithfull and looks the one. KUNAPIPI led and ran third behind Classic Impact over 1400 at Ascot three back. If Alex Hearn can lead then she can win first start on the dirt. SWEET EYES is race fit and can hold a position just off the speed which helps. CROWN RULER bombed the start at his first two and then was much cleaner away last start under Sharni Webster. Numbers: 1 – 9 – 8 – 2 Suggested Bet – CASINO ROYALE WIN RACE 2 DREAM ILLUSION was well found in betting when breaking his maiden first-up and since then has finished third to Southern Scandal in a C3 and second to Western Impact (at odds on) in a C3 1400. Back to a C1 and only rises 1kg. Looks a great race for him. EIN STEIN really caught the eye at his second-up run for Graeme Hammarquist. BATTLE ON BATTLER had his first start for Sean Rains and his first start on the dirt when winning by nearly 1L this track/trip. ROSA BALLERINA is only 1 from 26 but she’s usually thereabouts. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – DREAM ILLUSION WIN RACE 3 AROOCHACHA had his first start on the dirt and absolutely loved it. He won by over 2L and showed no signs of stopping late. Similar line-up of opposition and if he reproduces the run and Jefferson Tsang reproduces the ride he’ll be hard to beat again. EXPOROSE couldn’t lead at her dirt debut and that was her race over. This would be a very different scenario if she showed the speed to lead them and stayed out of the kickback. GENERAL KNOWLEDGE has been consistent throughout his career but does seem to lack a killer blow. ROMERO was in front a long way last start but will 1200m stretch? Numbers: 6 – 4 – 2 – 8 Suggested Bet – AROOCHACHA WIN RACE 4 IRONCLAD BOY has been in form for the entirety of 2025. His grass runs at the back end of the Geraldton Season were super and his last start win over 1600m was really strong late. This is a re-handicapped 64+ which gives him a wonderful opportunity to go back to back. THE COOLAKIN KING led and won at 1400/m. Can he do it again at 1600? CHUCK A LUCK and NEVER SOBER both have their first starts on the dirt but have the feeling both will be handy Cups types in coming months. Numbers: 2 – 3 – 7 – 6 Suggested Bet – IRONCLAD BOY WIN RACE 5 WESTERN IMPACT finally put it all together last start. He was -/11 going into that event and had even been run down leading on occasion. Tash Faithfull clearly go the best out of him and the fact she sticks is probably enough to trust that he can reproduce? LE TROY tried hard coming out of maiden company and gets a 2.5kg weight swing on the stablemate. ENTICING needs 1400 to be any chance on the dirt. UNDERCOVER SNIPER hasn’t historically been a 1400m horse but has been finishing off well late recently. Numbers: 9 – 8 – 7 – 3 Suggested Bet – WESTERN IMPACT WIN RACE 6 CHEEKY CHARLOTTE won like a mare who would keep winning in the region. 56+ back into a 50+, has speed to burn if she jumps and if not, she showed last start she’s more than capable of winding up into the race. Given the manner in which she won it’s hard not to follow her into a race with arguably even less depth? MOORDITJ BOY has his first start on the dirt and given he’s drawn barrier 1 it’s so, so important that he jumps and gives Natika Riordan a fighting chance to keep him out of the kickback. FAMEUX was a luckless run at Kalgoorlie last Sunday. Covered plenty of kilometres in 5 days! INCANDESCENT LADY a watch. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 6 – 11 Suggested Bet – CHEEKY CHARLOTTE WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 4,6 2,3,6,7 3,7,8,9 5 Market Market
