Scott Embry’s Friday Carnarvon Preview Posted on August 2, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 O’REILLY’S CRUMPET was impressive first-up from back in the field. Made solid ground the entire race and if he gets away better can turn the tables. RHINO’S LAD was able to reproduce some of his quality late season Geraldton form when finding the front and running rivals into the ground. If McNaught finds the top again he will be hard to beat. LINGO can improve with the shades going on. JUENDIS is consistent and never far away. Numbers: 4 – 1 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – O’REILLY’S CRUMPET WIN Race 2 LADY TALENT is a speedy former Jim Taylor type who should thrive in the dirt conditions. Blinkers go on and if Mollie Clark finds the front over 1000m it could be game, set, match. MY CHINA DOLL got through the going well last start and will improve as they stretch over further. COOL WITNESS showed ability last preparation. LAGUNA SUNRISE was an improver when heading to Roebourne. Numbers: 7 – 5 – 1 – 2 Suggested Bet – LADY TALENT WIN Race 3 HELLMAN resumed with a bang when leading, controlling and kicking away to win a maiden in good time. This is not a strong field and working around the outside looks the one. ROSA FILENTE and LIBERTY LEE hail from the same stable and both have undeniable claims in a wide open race. MISS SAXOBEAT was far from disgraced last start coming straight out of a maiden. Numbers: 3 – 10 – 4 – 7 Suggested Bet – HELLMAN WIN Race 4 RUN FOR A REASON gets another crack at a moderate race. Has gone well without winning at all Carnarvon races and drawn the extreme outside should ensure it stays out of trouble. GERSHOM was a late scratching last start and previously ran into the inform and speedy Faith in Fate. Could lead them up and take catching. HERE COMES POPPY is consistent while BALBOA’S GIRL could be better suited over further. Numbers: 10 – 1 – 4 – 5 Suggested Bet – RUN FOR A REASON WIN Race 5 REGAL HONOUR gave a lot of cheek in a tougher race in the Metro area when leading. That kind of racing pattern is suited to the dirt and it could be a nice day for Mollie Clarke and Angela Smith. BALMONT STUNNER has the form on the board here and looks hard to beat from the ideal draw. FARALON won well two starts ago and Edwards-Hammarquist are the premier duo in the region. JEWEL OF DENMARK will get off the leaders but wind up late. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 3 – 9 Suggested Bet – REGAL HONOUR WIN Race 6 SUPER SAXON is one that has progressed throughout the campaign and been a profitable follow for punters. Drawn an outside gate gives Edwards options. Can roll forwards or sit deep and wind up, versatile type. PORTRAIT LAO has finished in the top 2 at his last 4 and should do again here. DIAMOND JOLSON went well at his first dirt start, should be a handy acquisition. DISCORSIA goes well and is drawn to perfection. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 8 – 10 Suggested Bet – SUPER SAXON WIN Quaddie (Race 3 – 6) 3,4,7,9,10 1,4,10 1,3,5 2,3 Market Market
