Scott Embry’s Friday Albany Preview Posted on March 26, 2020March 26, 2020 | Posted by Scott Embry RACE 1 PEGGIE’S JOY did all the work in the run last start at Albany when caught three deep the trip. Senior rider goes on and she gets her chance to break through for a deserved maiden victory. TRISUEM travels to the Great Southern after two serviceable runs in the provincial area. EASINGTON was a shade disappointing last start. Better than that. THE BLACK JEEP is racing well. Numbers: 6 – 7 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – PEGGIE’S JOY WIN RACE 2 OXBRIDGE and SEA WAR both look to have a class edge on rivals. Always tough splitting Steve Wolfe horses and often it is best to sit back and wait for the support one way or the other. Going to side with Oxbridge who was an impressive Belmont Park trial winner. SEA WAR eased around heels and finished off better than anything in his trial and looks to be a genuine danger. RUSTY RIVITS has trialled up well. HE’S GONSKI looks likely to come out running. Numbers: 7 – 6 – 4 – 2 Suggested Bet – OXBRIDGE WIN RACE 3 GO CRYING, LICKETY SPLIT, ROUND THE POINT, LITTLE PUNGA, MORGS FREEMAN, ATHLONE CASTLE all going well enough to win this without surprising. Even though he was 62.5kg to contend with going with the class and siding with GO CRYING. Always been a Saturday horse and he ventures down to Albany for a weaker race. LICKETY SPLIT was super impressive at his first start for Roy Rogers. ROUND THE POINT has put together two good runs in town after an Albany victory. MORGS FREEMAN returns to the Great Southern and Alan Smith. Very good run behind Celebrity Queen only two months ago. Numbers: 1 – 2 – 3 – 5 Suggested Bet – GO CRYING WIN RACE 4 HIGHFRIAR has been around the mark his entire career. Always suffering bad barrier draws and unsuitable races. If he can hold up three back the fence from gate 1 and get the right splits he is in the mix here. DANEHILL STORM continues to knock on the door and again comes out running. BLACK MISSILE has not been seen since the impressive last start maiden victory. REGAL REBELLE worth keeping safe. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 1 – 7 Suggested Bet – HIGHFRIAR EACHWAY RACE 5 SIR SNUGALOT is probably best an 1100m horse. Does concede weight swings with the senior rider going aboard but this looks a great race for him. Excellent last few starts and even though his Albany track stats are not brilliant he is going particularly well. TRANQUILLA SUNRISE can lump the weight and is racing in career best form. JUST ACT NATURAL has been much better his last two runs. He looks ready and is well placed into this grade. POTENT SECRET can stalk the stablemate. Numbers: 3 – 2 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – SIR SNUGALOT WIN RACE 6 SOWAR is a nice 3 year old who heads back to Albany after repeatedly running well in metro and provincial races. Hopefully form the gate we will get some sort of price because his last three runs would win this race. Nosed out by That’s Funny Az in a fast run 1400 and then was the only horse to make any inch of ground on a leader dominated day at Pinjarra Park. TRADE STORM looks the testing material. Maiden win was strong and then ran super in a Wednesday at Ascot. LAGUNA MOUNTAINS has the East Coast figures to run very well here. QUEST TO VENUS a blow out. Numbers: 5 – 3 – 8 – 13 Suggested Bet – SOWAR WIN RACE 7 BENTLEY’S BROTHER has been super consistent throughout his entire career and Helen Harding has him going as well as ever. From the gate he can sit right over the top of the speed and should give backers a great sight. RECAPITULATE draws wide but is capable of doing it at both ends. Esperance win was super and tough. LORD KRONOS might struggle under the 61kg but won well at his most recent. PRINCE FRIAR always one to keep safe at a price. Numbers: 5 – 6 – 1 – 11 Suggested Bet – BENTLEY’S BROTHER WIN Quaddie (Race 4 – 7) 1,3,7,8 1,2,3,4 3,5,8 1,2,5,6,7,11 Market Market
