Scott Embry’s Bunbury Preview Posted on March 18, 2017March 22, 2017 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 DANCING IN VEGAS has trialed impressively on two consecutive occasions and looks to have fallen into a winnable race on debut. MADAM WINX has the services of former champion UK apprentice Lee Newman and is drawn to lead or box seat. EXCELLENT JERRY is another of the on speed brigade who should be there for a long way. JELANI EXPRESS is yet to bring his trial form to the races, however, fresh without a trial could give cheek. Numbers: 9 – 5 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – DANCING IN VEGAS WIN Race 2 NOBLE KING backs up off a very encouraging effort in 52+ grade when beaten less than a length Dagorlad. Should get a world perfect run from barrier 5 and break his maiden tag. GOLGOTHA looked the winner at the top of the home straight after being the target of strong market support. ANGIE’S ACT was luckless last start over 1700m and looks ready for this trip. HUMBY’S GOLD looks a filly who will relish every inch of 2000m and beyond. Numbers: 8 – 6 – 13 – 14 Suggested Bet – NOBLE KING WIN Race 3 REGAL CLASS gets her best chance to date of breaking her maiden tag. Has run into a couple of handy types so far in her short career and this looks her race. BURNING MAGIC drops back to 1400m which looks much more suitable after failing to see out a strong 1800m. Drawn perfectly she is the danger. KEEPER’S SON should ensure a genuine tempo and dictate terms out in front. A KNIGHT OF PRO was scratched from a winnable race to be saved for this. Numbers: 14 – 13 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – REGAL CLASS WIN Race 4 AMELIA’S LOVE could be the end of a race to race treble for William Pike if my tips are on point. She is a massive ball of muscle and an exciting prospect destined for bigger and better things than a Bunbury 56+ race. DANCE MINDY DANCE won on this day last year at this track with Damien Lane in the saddle. CARD KNIGHT is dropping in grade but does find it hard to win. FAIR NATIKA would give cheek if she could find the front. Numbers: 2 – 4 – 3 – 8 Suggested Bet – AMELIA’S LOVE WIN Superpick – AMELIA’S LOVE PROFIT PLUS (25%) Race 5 KRAMDEN won impressively on debut at this track and distance. History suggests the best place to be over 1000m at Bunbury is out in front and that is where I expect Mollie Clark to be. SPEEDING COMET has found without doubt his easiest assignment yet this preparation after contesting exclusively Saturday Metro quality races. STIRLING ESATE is a 1000m only proposition who should be up on speed. SWIFTLY is suited over further but her form reads well for a race of this quality. Numbers: 3 – 1 – 4 – 8 Suggested Bet – KRAMDEN WIN Race 6 PIGEON POST will be looking to post an all the way victory and gets his best chance to do so with Lucy Warwick back in the saddle. Lucy is a noted front running hoop and this galloper grows a leg with her aboard. BARZINHO is up in the weights but has won stronger classes of race than this. SAINT STEPHEN has been pretty impressive so far this preparation without finishing in the money. BOOM BOOM BANG looked the winner at Esperance but probably ran out of condition. Numbers: 9 – 2 – 6 – 3 Suggested Bet – PIGEON POST EACHWAY Race 7 QUILISTA is gunning for four on the bounce this preparation and on the 53kg minimum with the states premier hoop she looks incredibly hard to beat. VARIATION returns to the track after his impressive Guineas victory over boom filly Ellicazoom. Has to carry 59kg first-up but that is offset with the engagement of Damien Lane. ELEGANT BLAST was a little disappointing last campaign, however, contested races which were tougher than this. AKIKO has been solid since her return. Numbers: 8 – 1 – 7 – 9 Suggested Bet – QUILSTA WIN Race 8 COMING BACK gets a 2.5kg weight swing on Man Booker from the Pinjarra Classic as well as the addition of William Pike into the saddle. If he is ever going to turn the tables on that galloper it has to be today. MAN BOOKER is undefeated since a long spell. He is in arguably better form than when he won the WA Guineas and should get the sweetest of runs in transit. DREAM LIFTER is incredibly hard to fault on current form and will make his presence felt for the Great Southern Prince. YOUNG LIONEL always produces eye catching runs first-up fresh and can’t be underestimated. Numbers: 8 – 3 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – COMING BACK WIN Race 9 THE GOSPEL SIN was something beaten last start. McGruddy needed a set of binoculars to see the leaders turning for home and he mowed turf late. If he reproduces that run he goes mighty close. HIGH TEA stepping back up to 1400m looks a massive plus. SIRIUS PROSPECT won last start and there is nothing here to suggest he can’t make it two in a row. BLACK FREDA didn’t return the same horse as the one who won 2 from 2 emphatically in her first preparation. The recent trial suggests she might be back to near her best. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 10 Suggested Bet – THE GOSPEL SIN EACHWAY Quaddie 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10 1,8 3,8 1,4,5,10,13,16
