Scott Embry’s Saturday Ascot Preview Posted on December 27, 2018December 27, 2018 | Posted by Scott Embry Scott Embry’s Preview Race 1 RUBIC ROSE and BEETHOVEN come from the same 2 year old race and were both equally as impressive. RUBIC ROSE now draws gate number 1 and can lead them up or take a sit. BEETHOVEN looks to be the logical danger again. BUBAROOCHY looked to have some natural ability at trials while ANGEL JUPITER would be winning if she had anywhere near the ability of her half sister who is flying at the minute. Numbers: 7 – 1 – 2 – 5 Suggested Bet – RUBIC ROSE WIN Race 2 EXCISE FREE was a late scratching last week after being well commissioner pre-post. That race was over 1100m and this is an even more suitable 1000m. Should roll straight to the front and be very hard to reel in. KISS THE BREEZE was a classy 2 year old but as we saw last week with Assetro they need to show that they’ve come back as 3 year olds. MARKET RULER is low flying and only the big weight stops her. DEANGLES was a nice fresh winner at Albany. Numbers: 4 – 2 – 1 – 3 Suggested Bet – EXCISE FREE WIN Race 3 PEARL TRADE has been excellent at all three starts so far this campaign. She has been finding trouble and charging late. Claiming stable apprentice replaced by a senior and from three back the fence if she gets clear early enough will flash hard late. VITAL SILVER romped in first-up after sitting the in breeze. Gets a similar run here. PATAPUS was far from disgraced in fillies and mares grade last start and this is arguably a lot weaker race. FAIR SONARI should be getting a soft run close handy. Numbers: 5 – 1 – 4 – 3 Suggested Bet – PEARL TRADE EACHWAY Race 4 REVEILLE has been savaging the line all preparation. Her racing pattern is her own worst enemy in terms of winning races but up to the 1800m she should get every chance to run them down. MRS BROWNS BOY is a query at the trip but should be walking them out in front and make it a sit and sprint. TAXAGANO was good last start and is ready to win. ROYAL COMMAND finally broke through last start, like to see him do it again. Numbers: 4 – 3 – 1 – 5 Suggested Bet – REVEILLE WIN Race 5 CAPPO D’ORO looked likely to roll straight to the front in a race devoid of speed last start and duly saluted off a soft lead. This race is nearly identical and he should be given every chance leading them again. MISSISSIPPI DELTA sat effectively leader’s back last start and couldn’t run him down. She’s honest without being a star. ACTION is racing below his best and made a sustained move in a sit and sprint affair last start. He has X-Factor. ROYAL STAR was searching for a run last start and could be a blow out. Numbers: 4 – 5 – 2 – 6 Suggested Bet – CAPPO D’ORO WIN Race 6 TRUMP THIS could not have been more impressive last start. His win at Northam is a very questionable form reference but his effort at this track and distance in this grade last start was big. Royal Command goes to a 72+ and Mr Alby goes to a Listed race. He will fly late. WATCH ME NEY NEY and NORDIC KING both look likely to settle close handy and will be have a decent head start on the swooping brigade. CRYSTAL VALLEY was tough viewing last start but this is a tougher race. Numbers: 7 – 3 – 1 – 12 Suggested Bet – TRUMP THIS WIN Race 7 GET OVER IT has been teasing punters for a fair while with nice midfield efforts at two different stables. His first-up effort for the Linsey Smith yard was excellent and breaking down the sections looks to peak on the run late. CANDLELIGHT STAR looked to have found his race last start and this is just as suitable an assignment. The big old grey is back and racing extremely well. GUNNAGO has shades added but is at an interesting point in his career re: rating and best distance. RIVER DANCE is better than what he showed first-up. Numbers: 10 – 4 – 6 – 7 Suggested Bet – GET OVER IT EACHWAY Race 8 TYCOON TARGET is a little bit hot and cold and historically is fairly hard to catch but he should get a very similar run to what he enjoyed last start when running second to the progressive grey Vital Silver. LORENTINIO has a very alternative form reference coming down from Geraldton but if Tayla Stone finds the front he could be a mad one. OUQBA JACK has run some nice races this preparation but again draws poorly. INVISIBLE PRO has hit form and could be the ‘safe’ way to play in a tough race. Numbers: 4 – 10 – 5 – 3 Suggested Bet – TYCOON TARGET EACHWAY Quaddie (Race 5 – 8) 2,4,5 1,3,7 4,10 3,4,5,9,10,14,15,16 Market Market
