Chris Nelson’s Rosehill Rundown

Chris Nelson’s Preview

RACE 1 No.2 Archives

First starter from the Godolphin-John O’Shea stable who comes up with the coveted inside gate around this 1100m trip which is a definite advantage at Rosehill. He’s a colt by Helmet and is a half to Safeguard, Killian etc, his trials have been good and is sure to come in for solid support. If the money’s there leading right up to the race he’s the one worth backing.

RACE 2 No.3 Grunderzeit

Stablemate to the above selection who returned in good order here a fortnight back making solid ground in the run to the line. Chances are he could have finished slightly closer as he didn’t get a lot of room in the straight. Up in the weights here however should strip fitter and rates as a sound each-way chance.

RACE 5 No.1 Sir Bacchus

Chris Waller trained gelding who really looked the goods winning first up here in a slightly easier race. He sat back last on that occasion, stayed against the fence saving good ground rounding the turn and then unleashed a handy turn of foot putting his rivals away very quickly before clearing out to the line. Carries the same weight after Rory Hutching’s claim as he did at that win and can carry on the good work here.
