Chris’ Rosehill Best Bets Posted on July 14, 2017 | Posted by Chris Nelson Chris Nelson’s Preview RACE 2 No. 8 Lani Girl Nowra trained filly likely to go off at decent odds tomorrow in a race which just might be run to suit. Freshened up I’d like to see Andrew Adkins dig her up and try to hold a position closer to the lead than at her most recent starts as apart from Girl Sunday there doesn’t appear to be a great deal of speed up front. Down from a Benchmark 80 to a Benchmark 64 carrying the same weight as last time out she just might be over the odds. RACE 5 No. 1 King Darci Liked this one’s run first up when a $14 to $9 firmer. Although never looking likely to win he wound up only 1.8 lengths from the winner Calanda who then went on to win the Ramornie at Grafton on Wednesday. He’ll take plenty of benefit from the outing as he hadn’t trialled (officially) prior and does appear well weighted after the claim dropping back in grade. RACE 7 No. 4 Snippets Land Team Snowden galloper back from a Queensland campaign where he wound up beating all bar the winner Monsieur Gustave in the Glasshouse Handicap at the Sunshine Coast two weeks ago. Although his record here at the track isn’t good he does appear well enough placed tomorrow and generally is thereabouts in these types of races. Due for a breakthough.
