Greg Hooper’s Pinjarra Park Picks Posted on August 4, 2016August 5, 2016 | Posted by Greg Hooper Greg Hooper’s Preview RACE 1 SWIFT PLATINUM raced in much better company than this in his first campaign. His trial looked strong and he should take a stack of beating first-up. MY BROTHER PENCIL looked quite sharp in a recent trial win. He is blessed with plenty of natural speed. SCALABRINO showed speed on debut and faded. This looks much easier. BOUNCE DOWN has trialled well. Numbers – 1 – 2 – 3 – 7 Suggested Bet – Swift Platinum win RACE 2 HOT BRESA finished of nicely when resuming from a spell. He should derive plenty of benefit from that and take some beating in maiden grade. STAR MOVER looks very close to a win. She gets all the favours from a good draw. KING COLE will appreciate the rise in distance. KEEP THE FLAME ALIVE can improve with the drop back to a mile. Numbers – 4 – 12 – 5 – 15 Suggested Bet – Hot Bresa and Star Mover RACE 3 ANDREINI resumes from a spell without a trial. He showed ability in his first campaign and if he is tuned up and ready to go he’ll go very close. SIRIUS PROSPECT will get a lovely run from gate 1. This looks a very suitable assignment. WAR GOD has had plenty of chances but he’s in the mix again. CAYMAN BOUND next best. Numbers – 3 – 15 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – Andreini save Sirius Prospect RACE 4 FAULTY was caught wide throughout at his most recent outing and did a good job to finish in the placings. If he can cross from his wide draw he goes close. TWENTY NINE BLACK was terribly disappointing when resuming from a spell. He is better than that and can improve sharply. SNITZBLITZ has raced flat this preparation however she did come up the wrong part of the track last start. FOXINATOR has had plenty of chances but is in the mix again. Numbers – 4 – 5 – 10 – 1 Suggested Bet – Faulty win RACE 5 FATHOMS OF GOLD was a strong all-the-way winner at this circuit a fortnight back. He should lead again and give another big sight. SONNEN was unlucky in the same race. He appears the main danger. PRINCESS JASMAN didn’t get the best of luck in the same race. AWESOME AS is the class dropper. Numbers – 3 – 4 – 11 – 2 Suggested Bet – Fathoms Of Gold and Sonnen RACE 6 SIXPENCE SPENT showed plenty of ability in his first preparation including an authoritative win on debut over this journey. He’s trialled well and looks the one to beat. EXPRESS SNOOPER was scratched from yesterday to be saved for this. PLAY FOR PLEASURE looks the leader. VANDEMONIAN has first-four claims. Numbers – 2 – 15 – 1 – 6 Suggested Bet – Sixpence Spent win RACE 7 GLORYLAND is a track specialist having started here on three occasions for three big wins. If he’s on his game he’s the one to catch again. POLITICS found the line strongly when resuming from a spell. The step up to a mile suits. KENSINGTON ABBEY races well at this circuit. JESTER ROCK has claims. Numbers – 1 – 5 -2 – 4 Suggested Bet – Gloryland and Politics RACE 8 TOMMI TOOCAN should be just about ready to show his best at his third run back from a spell. ECHOES IN TIME was sound when resuming at Northam and she gets to track/distance in which she has won previously. FRIARBIRD gets a soft run from gate 1 and can finish strongly. MERRIJIG can improve on his first-up effort. Numbers – 2 – 3 – 1 – 4 Suggested Bet – Tommi Toocan and Echoes In Time QUADDIE RACE 5 – 1, 2, 3, 4, 11 RACE 6 – 2, 15 RACE 7 – 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 RACE 8 – 1, 2, 3, 4, 10 Bet Now
