Michael McDermott’s Weekend Preview Posted on February 10, 2017 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 10th February 2017 Race 2 — No. 4 West On Jill Race 3 — No. 3 West On Maisie Race 7 — No. 4 Dandalup Doll — SuperPick Profit Plus 25% (Win) Bet Now! Cannington Saturday 11th February 2017 Race 2 — No. 8 Cairnlea Deano Consistent placegetter who is well overdue for a win, with his last right on 2 months ago from the inside draw in 30.10. He is unbeaten in 2 exits from this draw and has been tackling much tougher opposition than this in recent weeks, finishing 3rd in a Perth Cup heat behind Pepper Fire, followed up by another 3rd in the Consolation in a PB of 30.06. Has plenty of early pace so he should get across and race close enough before asserting his authority and roar away for his loyal supporters. Race 3 — No. 1 Who’s Got Class Has lived up to his name, winning 11 of his 18 starts to date which include two at this very track surrounding an unlucky 4th in a Perth Cup heat. He has a terrific record from the inside draws, remaining unbeaten in 5 runs from boxes 1 and 2. While up in grade, the small field suits and he looks set to get an easy time of it as there isn’t an abundance of past on his outside so it would be no surprise to see him lead them all the way in this. Race 8 — No. 3 Sassy Ginger — SuperPick Profit Plus 25% (Win) Speed machine who won a heat of the Perth Cup on her return to WA from this very draw in a handy 29.91. She then put up a game effort in the Group 1 final with a cracking 3rd behind kennelmate Equanimity when racing prominently throughout, going down by just over 2 lengths. She’ll find this more to her liking and should jump on the arm and give her rivals something else to chase.
