Michael McDermott’s Weekend Preview Posted on June 16, 2017 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 16th June 2017 Race 2 – No. 1 Ultimate Wingman Never given a chance to show what he is capable of last week when finding all sorts of early bother over this trip. Drawn one better tonight and gets his chance to make amends. Race 9 – No. 1 Fancy Seeing You Exciting chaser who has won 8 of her last 9 with 6 of those over this distance tonight of 405m. She has led all the way in 5 of those wins and should take plenty of catching again if she bounds to the front. Race 10 – No. 2 Dandalup Brutus SuperPick Profit Plus 20% (Place) Hasn’t won since late March but he also hasn’t had a good draw for a while either. His last victory was in this rug though, one which has seen him salute in 3 of his 4 exits from the draw in the past and with a bit of early luck here, expect him to prove hard to hold out. Bet Now! Cannington Saturday 17th June 2017 Race 4 – No. 2 Sassy Ginger SuperPick Profit Plus 20% (Win) Highly consistent with podium finishes in all of his last 5 starts. Back to his best with an all the way 29.89 victory last week in the Winter Cup final and is more than capable of repeating that effort from another handy draw. Race 6 – No. 3 Vanderworp Impressive youngster who has led all the way in his past couple from worse draws than this. He should get a clear run to the first turn with a couple of average beginners either side of him here and he is more than capable of making it a hat trick. Race 11 – No. 4 Found A Diamond Returned from a break with a smart win last week after giving Wayno a head start before giving him windburn on the home turn and racing away for an impressive 4 length victory in 30.03. Fitter now and will only get quicker. He looks too good again for another small line up.
