Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on September 3, 2021September 3, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 3rd September 2021 Race 5 – No. 2 Pixie Monelli Comfortably beaten by QUARTARARO (8) at their past two meetings over this trip but she has the draw advantage over him this time and he’ll need to be on his game to catch her this time. Race 7 – No. 2 Steampunk Wolf Racing in career best form with podium finishes in 5 of his past 6, all in strong times. Game in defeat behind STANGA MOOSE (7) in this company last week and should give plenty of cheek again from the improved draw. Race 12 – No. 6 Burning Passion Impressive when leading all the way over this trip 3 runs ago in 27.58, albeit against easier opposition. Has mixed form at headquarters since but a swift jump can see her find her best again. Each Way: Race 11 – No. 8 Aston Casino Has been racing without much luck since moving West, winning just the once, all at Cannington over shorter. He may appreciate the bigger track and gets plenty of room to move out here. An upset would not surprise. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2.8 / 1.6.8 / 2.5.7 / 2.3.4 $50 for 92.59% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 4th September 2021 Race 5 – No. 1 Got The Sugar Racing without much luck of late but the red rug will help her cause, as well the scratching of the short-priced favourite. Should go much closer this time around. Race 10 – No. 1 Myrtle Monelli Has the early toe to use the draw to her advantage and is in search of hat trick over the trip, winning her past two 600m runs in easier Provincial company. Will be in this for a long way again. Race 11 – No. 3 Salsa Monelli Ran on nicely late in good time to go down by just over a length, finishing second last week in this company. Rarely runs a bad race and has strong winning claims again. Each Way: Race 1 – No. 2 Redefine Hs only ever finished further back than 4th twice in his 27 starts to date. Runner up in both efforts here at T/D and from one of his favourite draws, he can figure prominently yet again. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1 / 1.3.5.8 / 1.3.4 / 1.2.8 $50 for 138.88% Trifecta – Race 2 1.3.6.7 / 1.3.6.7 / 1.3.6.7 $30 for 125% First Four – Race 5 1 / 2.4.5.6.7 / 2.4.5.6.7 / 2.4.5.6.7 $50 for 83.33% Bet Now! Mandurah Sunday 5th September 2021 Race 1 – No. 3 Beach Monelli On debut over the short course but her efforts over the 405m suggest if she lands in front early, her rivals won’t get past her. Looks too good for these. Race 8 – No. 3 Muttley Rewarded his loyal supporters with his first and overdue local win when leading all the way in 23.15 last week. His best efforts in WA have been from wider but now he has confidence on his side, he can go on with the job now. Race 10 – No. 3 On The Watch Mixing form of late but is more than capable of finding the front with two modest beginners on her inside and could take some catching if she does. Bet Now! Bet Now!
