Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on June 18, 2021June 18, 2021 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 18th June 2021 Race 8 – No. 3 Pixie Monelli Returned to the track and was back to her best with a strong win over WEST ON GRIT (5) last week in a slick BON 27.46. The improved draw helps and she looks the one to beat again. Race 10 – No. 8 Mow Keeping Led for a long way from this draw over 520m on Saturday before stitching up and finishing a well beaten 6th. Better suited over this trip where he has only missed the place twice in 12 attempts. Should be in this a long way again. Race 11 – No. 8 Gangnam Monelli Missed the podium for the first time in two months with a midfield effort last week when never in the hunt. Better suited out here though where he gets plenty of room to move and looks set to remain unbeaten in pink. Each Way: Race 12 – No. 2 Herman Munster Will appreciate moderate beginners either side of him. Will be relying on a few things to go his way but on recent efforts, he should be thereabouts at the finish. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 2 / 2 / 2.3.6 / 2.3.5 $50 for 555.55% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 19th June 202 Race 5 – No. 8 Stout Monelli Talented sprinter tackling the middle distance for the first time. Breeding suggests he’ll appreciate the rise in distance. Well worth an Each Way ticket in his 600m debut. Race 6 – No. 3 Sir Monty The class runner who has been mixing form over the 520m since last seen over the trip 4 runs ago when 3rd in a modest 35.02. Has a couple of slow beginners either side of him so if he does ping, he’ll be on the speed early. Will take plenty of chasing down. Race 8 – No. 2 Veyron Star Has been a while since she last saluted at headquarters but has been rarely far from the action since then and she will find this easier from a favourable draw then her past couple of outings in a Winter cup Heat and Final. Go very close in this. Each Way: Race 12 – No. 1 Sienna Keeping Yet to show what she is capable of since arriving in WA but has had excuses and from her favourite draw, tonight could be the night where she puts it all together. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.5.7.8 / 3.8 / 2 / 2.3.5 $50 for 138.88% Trifecta – Race 6 3.8 / 1.3.8 / 1.2.3.5.8 $30 for 250% First Four – Race 8 2.3.5 / 2.3.5 / 1.2.3.4.5.7 / FLD $50 for 29.76% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 20th June 2021 Race 5 – No. 1 Dinkydi Lilly Unbeaten in red and is a 3 time winner over this trip since arriving in WA in April. Had excuses hat her past two starts so best to forget she went around in each. Can make amends here. Race 6 – No. 3 What’s Up Marty Had excuses when a beaten odd-on favourite last start at Mandurah. Hasn’t won since March but has taken on some solid line ups since then and will find this more to his liking. Should be thereabouts at the finish again. Race 11 – No. 3 Yarrinup Flyer Speedy chaser who has led all the way in slick time at 2 of his past 3 over 405m at Mandurah. He has shown an abundance of early toe here over the 520m in the past and this trip looks right up his alley. Will prove hard to run down. Bet Now! Bet Now!
