Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Preview Posted on October 9, 2020 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday, 9th October 2020 Race 1 – No. 7 Bonbie Mariah Back in winning form with an all the way 22.87 effort on Sunday from the opposite side of the draw. Has the pace to overcome the wide alley and should be too strong for these at the finish. Race 11 – No. 6 Chevy Gold Racing well in tougher line ups than this recently and while he has yet to win in 5 tries from the draw, he has the speed and class to overcome that hurdle and this line up. Race 12 – No. 1 Par Peppi Consistent chaser who loves the red. Has had excuses for not finishing closer in recent starts but if he puts his best paw forward from this favourite draw, he will take a power of beating. Each Way: Race 9 – No. 2 Galaxy Blaster Drawn well and is a multiple winner over longer in NSW in the past. Recent efforts over 405m have been solid and if he pinches a break early, he may prove hard to catch. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.2 / 1.2 5 / 1.2.4.8 / 1.2.4.7 $50 for 52.08% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Saturday, 10th October 2020 Race 4 – No. 7 Veyron Star Has the early toe to overcome the wide draw and has been knocking on the door in strong line ups from this alley and similar of late. Should be in this for a long way and gets her chance to break the drought. Race 8 – No. 8 Mild Marcus His only win in 6 starts was from this draw, leading all the way in 30.08. Hasn’t been far away since in 2 of 3 since and a win would not surprise with his best exit from the boxes. Race 10 – No. 1 Grace Ali Mixing tracks and distances in search of that illusive victory but she won’t get a better chance than this, coming up with the perfect draw in much easier company than what she has been meeting. Class should prevail. Each Way: Race 7 – No. 5 Regal Twist Can really explode from the boxes as shown when leading all the way 3 back in 29.94, producing an early sectional of 5.39. Hasn’t disgraced himself since with back to back placings against similar opposition and is capable of the upset. Quaddie (Race 5 to 8): 1.4.5.6.7 / 1.4.8 / 1.5.7 / 2.4.8 $50 for 37.03% Trifecta – Race 8 2.4.8 / 2.4.8 / 1.2.4.7.8 $30 for 166.66% First Four – Race 4 2.7 / 2.7 / 3.4.5.6 / 3.4.5.6.8 $50 for 156.25% Bet Now! Bet Now! Cannington Sunday, 11 October 2020 Race 4 – No. 7 Grand Riot Well-bred former Victorian who has yet to miss a place when well supported in 3 starts to date. May need the run but is well worth supporting in his local debut, especially if the price is right. Race 5 – No. 6 Bohemian Fun No luck last week in his W.A. Bred Country Cup heat so best to forget he went around. Prior to that he finished runner up to star stayer Flake Monelli and won two on end in impressive times. Will find this more to his liking and looks set to bounce back. Race 6 – No. 1 Bitter Twist A long way up in distance and making his Cannington debut but drawn ideally in red and has looked as though he’s appreciate further. Unplaced in just 1 of 7 and a podium finish can be expected again. Bet Now! Bet Now!
