Michael McDermott’s Weekend Greyhound Blog Posted on October 20, 2017October 21, 2017 | Posted by Michael McDermott Mandurah Friday 20th October 2017 Race 4 – No. 8 Desert Rampage Went on a rampage from July through to September, winning 9 of 11. Since then, he stepped up to this trip in a Mandurah Cup heat and was pipped at the post by eventual series winner Astrozone. Will find this much easier and can bounce back tonight. Race 5 – No. 8 Smooth Should find this a whole lot easier than what he has been up against in recent weeks. His best effort over the trip was from this very draw, leading all the way in a slick 22.53 and only needs to put his best paw forward at the start again to find his winning best. Race 8 – No. 8 Groomer McGrath Money Back, Run 2nd Hasn’t won since early September but that victory was from this very draw. He has been racing solidly in tougher since and made up late ground in a good time at his latest last start. Could prove hard to hold out with a similar effort tonight. Bet Now! Cannington Saturday 21st October 2017 Race 3 – No. 5 Backpacker Jack SuperPick (Win Boost) Good without winning when 2nd throughout over the trip last week in the Distance Potential Final from this draw. Should find this more to his liking and looks tough to run down. Race 5 – No. 4 Demon Bale Slick beginner who led for a long way in the Mandurah Cup Final only to be run down late by Astrozone. He has a top record here, all in this company and similar, finishing on the podium in 9 of his 11 starts. Looks set to fight out the finish once again. Race 8 – No. 1 Pepper Fire Box 1 bandit who has electric early pace. She has been mixing form in recent times but she loves this track and should be primed to run a big race. Will take plenty of running down if pinging to the front. QUADDIE (Race 5 to 8): 2, 4, 5, 6 / 4, 6, 7, 8 / 6, 7, 8 / 1, 3, 4, 8. $50 for 26.04% TRIFECTA – Race 1 2, 7 / 2, 5, 7 / 1, 2, 3, 5, 6. $30 for 200% FIRST FOUR – Race 7 6, 7, 8 / 6, 7, 8 / 1, 3, 6, 7, 8 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 7. $50 for 73.52% Button
