Matt Young’s Tuesday Northam Preview

Race 1

One of a few open races for the night. BUT JOE (4) is a horse I have a bit of time for and think he will win some races this time in, looks a strong chance in this lineup. FRANKENSTEINSBRIDE (2) drawn well and looks a strong chance, but MISS KNOWALL (1) has the speed to lead although she isn’t racing at her best. MISTER KOPA (5) has plenty of early speed but hasn’t been at his best, better class for him to go well, especially if he could lead. TORREVEAN AMY (7) drawn to get a good run and will be dangerous late. GOGGINS (9) will be running on strongly, didn’t have any luck on Saturday. FUEGO CRUZADO (8) is racing consistently and is in the mix with MACH FREEWAY (6).

Tips: 4 2 7 9

Suggested Bet: BUT JOE (4) to win.

Race 2

MAD PUNTA (1) has the nice draw and has the speed to lead, will need to boot through but suited in this grade and can improve. SHES MY LITTLE GEM (7) has the perfect draw and was a winner here from a similar role two starts ago. DISPATCHER (3) is a good beginner and is a strong winning chance if she could cross. STRIKE MASTER (5) is capable but faces a difficult draw for his racing style, STAR OF ORION (6) drops in grade and could run home well.

Tips: 7 1 3 5

Suggested Bet: SHES MY LITTLE GEM (7) each way.

Race 3

INTO THE FUTURE (5) has brilliant early speed and will look to get across and lead, this is a drop in grade on the latest effort and should run well in this. ON THE BACK FOOT (2) lacks a bit of early dash but has drawn in close and won’t be far away, go well in this. SHES A MARE (7) needs a touch of luck but will be running home strongly. EYE BETTER (1) mixing early speed and will race handy to them, won’t be far away. MARTYR (6) creates interest and market worth watching.

Tips: 5 2 7 1

Suggested Bet: INTO THE FUTURE (5) to win.

Race 4

RONA MAY (2) is racing well and will be looking to be prominent in the run, she is racing with great consistency and must be respected again. ROCK ME OVER (5) drops in grade and can be driven strongly in this and will be dangerous. SHES A TINY DANCER (1) drawn to be prominent, looks a novelty chance. BEYOND BLING (8) will be running on strongly, form has been solid for the last month with YAWOMA (9) who is in the same category of chances. GET YA BETS ON (6) needs pace on. LILLIE QUEEN (3) will find this harder than recent win.

Tips: 2 5 8 9

Suggested Bet: RONA MAY (2) each way.

Race 5

THE DARK NIGHT (1) has the perfect draw and looks suited here, won well two starts ago and will be hard to run down in this grade. LETS ROCK TONIGHT (6) will look to get forward in the run and will stick on strongly. VINTAGE BLU (5) is ready to run a bold race; last few have been encouraging. LIL MISS DELIGHT (3) capable and is starting to show improvement and consistency. REDDY TO FLY (9) will be running on.

Tips: 1 5 6 3

Suggested Bet: THE DARK NIGHT (1) to win.

Race 6

Open race. ARISE LAZARUS (9) will be getting home strongly and has been luckless in recent runs, must be respected here with even luck. JORDANO (2) looks the leader and will give them something to catch. BETTOR BE BUCKS (1) has the nice draw and won’t be far away. METEOROID (4) is improving and will be close to the speed. OURFIRSTIMPRESSION (8) a chance with ALLWOODS CHEVRON (10) who will be running on but need some luck, especially the latter.

Tips: 9 4 2 1

Suggested Bet: ARISE LAZARUS (9) each way.

Race 7

SPINNER OF YARNS (2) is racing well enough to be dangerous in this, drawn to be close enough and is a one paced type, looks a major player. THUNDER WARRIOR (9) will be running on strongly, form has just tapered off a touch in recent runs, looking to bounce back and this grade suits. FIREBALL FRIDAY (1) has a nice draw and comes in fresh, distance suits and will be close enough. CHEVRONS GOLD (7) nicely drawn and has been racing against stronger. CRACKA TINNY (8) consistent and will be running on.

Tips: 2 1 9 7

Suggested Bet: SPINNER OF YARNS (2) to win.

Race 8

HAVTIMEFORMIKI (10) will win again at the short odds as their looks to be a dominance in this. TEXAS STORM (4) is a horse who comes in fresh but has some depth and will likely look to get forward. MA PETITE DAME (6) has come back well and must overcome a wide draw but will be getting home strongly. NOD FROM ABOVE (1) is a novelty chance with STRONG THE STRIKER (7) and BROOME BEACH (8) could improve second up off a break.
