Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview

Race 1

SYNCHRONIZER (3) has good early speed and is benefitted by being second up today, big chance to burn to the top and be hard to run down from that position. TORREVEAN AMY (1) comes in first up and can lead early and take cover and be close enough, good enough to earn. CODENAME ELLIOT (2) has improved recently, early speed has need been his main attribute but drops down from a Friday night and should be handy. HEAVY METAL HAMMER (10) is racing well and is suited in this grade, should settle close enough and be running home well. Tough draw for MAJOR MANHATTAN (9) and LUKE ATTACK (5) is mixing his form.

Suggested Bet: SYNCHRONIZER (3) to win.

Race 2

NOT SO SWEET (5) is a nice type on return, she is flighty and always a bit of heart in mouth type viewing but this is a suitable race on return and looks hard to beat. NOD FROM ABOVE (4) can use that early speed to lead and can settle close enough, prefer her over shorter but can earn in this. TORREVEAN ENVY ME (2) is racing soundly enough to feature, will look to come out and get handy to them. CONTESSA JULIE (10) will be running on from the back of the field, appears the better chance of the stablemates with ASHANESIA (1) drawn well but is lacking a bit of consistency form wise. PET SHOP ADDA (8) and SHERICKA (6) will both run on and have shown promise.

Suggested Bet: NOT SO SWEET (5) to win.

Race 3

ALFA JESS (1) is well suited in this, draw is a massive bonus and looks to lead and run a bold race here, very hard to run down. BUNJIL MAN (4) has shown enough this preparation to be a threat, Abbey Vidovich jumps back aboard, and she is the only driver to win on this horse, could improve sharply. CANELO (11) has improved in recent runs and can come on well from the back of the field. DANGER (6) is racing well but is a hard horse to tip as he always gets back and runs on. BULL SHARK BETTY (3) has shown enough promise to be prominent.

Suggested Bet: ALFA JESS (1) to win.

Race 4

WICKED HUSTLER (3) looks well placed here, he has decent speed and think he will be strong for the top and if he finds it, I think he will be very hard to beat. HUNGER STRIKE (8) was sound in her most recent effort, a better on speed horse but she will be running on strongly. WHEN IN VEGAS (7) won well two starts ago and will appreciate the drop back to the Tuesday grade, could be dangerous. LENORA JANE (2) is mixing her form but always a novelty chance with BURGHLEY SHARD (4), CHEKKER (5) and SUN PUBLISHER (6).

Tips: 3 8 7 4

Suggested Bet: WICKED HUSTLER (3) to win.

Race 5

OUR MAJOR JACK (2) was a nice effort last time out and thought he could be quite aggressive for the top in this and if he could find the lead I think he will be hard to run down. GOV STARZZZ (1) is a sitting type on his current form and could profile as a place chance again if he is behind the potential leader. YAWOMA (5) is rarely far away but may have to do some work in a race that is lacking a breeze horse. MYSTA MOON WALKER (8) is racing well enough but faces a tough draw and doesn’t do his own dirty work. EKARA NAVAJO (9) is the best horse in the race but isn’t at her best, tempo could be against her from out there. BET ON THE RIVER (6) wasn’t a bad effort last run with SOUND WAVE (7).

Tips: 2 9 5 6

Suggested Bet: OUR MAJOR JACK (2) to win.

Race 6

FULL SWING DENARIO (2) draws to bounce on the lead, and he took the cover at Pinjarra but can’t see that happening here and think he will lead and win on his current form. LONGREACH BAY (6) could come out and test him but is a few steps below his best form currently. HILLVIEW BONDI (8) looks to bounce back to form, will roll forward after the start and look to get outside of them. CAPTAINS CREEK (3) could get a suitable tempo but has just been fair in recent runs. BLING IT UP (5) is talented and returns with a draw to watch everything happening around him. BEAT THE BANK (4) and LOUIE LEBEAU (7) both are capable of top 4 finishes.

Suggested Bet: FULL SWING DENARIO (2) to win.

Race 7

RUSSIAN SNIPER (5) has been impressive in recent trials and should be sharp and ready to go and think he’ll win some races this time in, major player. GEORGE MYBOY (4) has plenty of talent but was very green last time in, expect him to go well on return. ALL OUT OF ACES (3) has shown good ability in her only two runs and an element of toughness, no trials for her return creates interest. EXPRESSING (1) drawn to be handy and is the most experienced. TERBIUM (6) and SEASPIRIT (2) have both shown good ability, good race.

Tips: 5 4 3 1

Suggested Bet: RUSSIAN SNIPER (5) to win.

Race 8

STIRUP IRON JACK (7) is much better suited to the mile and can be driven forward and look to try and bully them in this and think he’ll run a bigger race in this. THREE FLAMES (3) was a better run last time out and is heading in the right direction, could bounce on the lead early here and run a better race again. FUEGO CRUZADO (4) not known for her gate speed but is racing soundly. ELLEOFAREACTOR (5) faces a tricky draw but it’s a suitable grade. FIREPLAY (8) looks unlikely to cross them from this wide again, if he did, he could win again. BEALAWYER (6) won’t be far away.
