Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on June 29, 2026June 29, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 MYSTERY FRED (10) gets into this well only off the 40m, distance suits, track suits and can catch them and give them a cold whenever he wants, should win again. LOTS OF CHANGE (8) has upside in this grade, can be driven to the pace of the race in this and looks a decent top 2 chance. SUGA DADDY (5) is a decent place chance in this race, can lob handy and seems to trot safe enough and proven against most of these. BONNIE RAE (7), BEE BEE BEROC (6) both novelty chances and THE BEAT (4) creates interest but galloped in a recent trial and looks to still be a work in progress. Tips: 10 8 5 4 Suggested Bet: SUGA DADDY (5) to place. Race 2 EDGE ELEVEN (3) was solid in the return run and has a nice draw second up, looks to try and work to the top and appears hard to beat in this. ROCKABILLY JOE (7) has shown some promise but has gone from the ace draw to the car park and a capacity field to take on. THE BELL HUEY (2) trialled better than he ran first up, nice draw and could improve. IDEAL HEADLINE (5) looks sharper since returning, trial was solid and respect in this. MADE FOR ME (6) has some early speed and ability and should be better for the first up run. PAS DE BOURREE (8) is a highly strung type who is a watch at the middle distance but will get a soft run. Tips: 3 5 7 2 Suggested Bet: EDGE ELEVEN (3) to win. Race 3 IMA BOOTY SHAKER (7) was impressive in a recent trial and looks to be hard to beat on debut in the West, draw is a slight concern. IDEAL DIAMOND (2) was a good effort last time out and overall ability is high, has options from the draw and should be dangerous in this. SUGA (3) was a big winner on debut and then didn’t have much luck second up but still ran well, one of the key chances here and will learn more about her again. THE SEA SIREN (4) looks more of a novelty chance in this field but is racing consistently, other chances to FEAR THE STORM (5) who returns but has shown good ability last time in. HE IS TALKING (6) creates interest on return and WAVES OF FORTUNE (10) will be running on. Tips: 7 2 3 5 Suggested Bet: IDEAL DIAMOND (2) each way. Race 4 BETTOR BE BUCKS (8) drawn to get a good run, is on the quick back up from Saturday night and her only ordinary run for the camp was when she raced Saturday to Tuesday so that creates some concern but is improving and looks a major player in this. PAPPINBARRA LADY (1) has the speed to lead and races well when on speed should go close. LADY OF LEITH (2) is a winning chance but needs to lead in my opinion, races well at the trip. LYCA FANTASY (6) will roll forward and look to get up outside them and was a step in the right direction last time out. PURELY PANDEMIC (9) a novelty chance. Tips: 8 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: BETTOR BE BUCKS (8) each way. Race 5 HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (8) is ready to win and ideally drawn to follow the speed, could be plenty of that on and am expecting him to be flashing home late, deserves a win and is hard to beat. VISITING HOURS (1) will be looking to hold up early, won a race from the lead three starts ago, go well. GALVINSTON JOHN (2) major player if he could cross, won’t be through a lack of trying though. BE HOME SOON (9) was luckless last time out and still ran well, will be close enough and look dangerous. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (3) was better last run but a tricky draw for him, could be three wide the trip without surprising. Awkward draws for moderate beginners VYBRANT (4), REDDY TO FLY (5) and poor draw for SNAKEY BAY (7) who looks unlikely to lead. BLOCKJORG (10) to run on. Tips: 8 9 2 1 Suggested Bet: HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (8) to win. Race 6 OAKLEY (1) reads up well for this and comes up with the prized draw and looks a major player, Bob Mellsop does a good job with his team, and this should be primed and ready to go. MISTER CONSTITUTION (10) will be better suited back to this distance and should settle close enough and get home strongly with HALFMOONBAY (11) who also appears to be better at this trip in the early part of his career. COLORADO BANNER (4) has early speed and is the only early challenger of concern for mine, would be cheeky if he could lead. JOEY JAMES (5) racing well but this draw is awkward for him. Tips: 1 10 4 11 Suggested Bet: OAKLEY (1) to win. Race 7 Tricky race to work out here. ISEEUBABY (1) we will find out a lot about here, she is dynamite at the mile and steps to the middle distance and can get a little fiery as she rises in grade, few question marks about her. LOU LAMOUR (2) racing well but have him pegged as being better with a sit as he rises in grade. ART IDEAL (6) has brilliant early speed and can get keen but would give them something to catch if he led. BLAZE AWAY (7) is knocking on the door, he doesn’t win out of turn these days but is profiling like a horse who is ready to break through. TURBO JAY (9) comes in off a freshen up and will run on with stablemate GOODTIME LOUIS (3). Tips: 6 1 7 2 Suggested Bet: ART IDEAL (6) each way. Race 8 FLOAT MY BOAT (9) was KO’d on return and took no part, back row draw is never easy in a lightning lap but can punch through on the back of a quick beginner and lob handy and has a touch of class in a race of this nature. SONIC SEELSTER (2) looks the early leader but took a sit last time out and gives himself place claims but opens it up for something to get the lead from him and that could be ASHBY (3) who could improve on the front end. IDONTWANABEAPIRATE (5) was luckless last time out and likes this concept, go well. AXLE ROCKS (1) a place chance with CHIEF COPY (8) both hugging the rails. Tips: 9 3 5 2 Suggested Bet: FLOAT MY BOAT (9) to win. Race 9 CAPTAIN SAID SO (10) was enormous after getting into trouble in that event, versatile type but looks ready to win off the back of that run. RAKLOU (7) wasn’t a bad effort on Friday and looks better suited on the bigger track, go well here. SWITCH BLADE (2) racing consistently and is a novelty chance in this grade with his early speed, has options after that. ROCK PHONE (5) creates interest in his WA debut, keep safe. OVERLY EXCITED (6) is capable but not quite at his best, could be driven forward in this to keep an advantage. SWIZZLESTICK (9) will be running on. Tips: 10 7 9 6 Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN SAID SO (10) to win. Market Market
