Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on February 2, 2026February 2, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open race to kick the program off. CIGANDA (3) returns and has the early speed to cross the inside two runners, has the ability but can mix her form so wouldn’t want to be diving in too short. THE RIGHTEOUS (11) will settle in the first half and has been racing soundly against stronger fields, solid chance. FIORD (1) lacks the early speed but if he can be in the first few, his form is good enough to win. BE HOME SOON (10) is ready to win, drops in grade on last run but needs luck from the draw, likely to be three pegs in this at best. DECIPHER (7) good enough to run a big race, tough draw though. STIRUP IRON JACK (8) is preferred at shorter and although he can do work, the draw is challenging. Tips: 3 11 10 1 Suggested Bet: BE HOME SOON (10) each way. Race 2 THE BETTOR SIDE (8) is racing consistently and although he was a beaten favourite last time out, his performance was full of merit in a quick last half, looks hard to hold out. EL JAYDO (5) comes in fresh and looks a solid chance, likely to need the match fitness but trialled well for this. GRACEFUL SHARK (2) was solid on return and drawn to get a good run, could run in the money as SPLASH OF CASH (1) and DARE TO LIE (3) both racing well but go up in grade on their recent efforts due to maiden victories. SEMINOLE JUNIOR (7) a novelty chance. Tips: 8 5 2 1 Suggested Bet: GRACEFUL SHARK (2) to place. Race 3 MONEY BOSS (10) reads up well for this based on his only run, the draw comes across as awkward at the short courts but has plenty of upside and looks hard to hold out. CHEVRONS GOLD (4) is a quick beginner and should charge across to lead early, third up into the prep and could give them something to catch. LETS RATTLNROLL (1) trialled soundly and has a nice draw, should settle close enough and go well. SUPREME RHAPSODY (5) has shown promise, but the draw is tricky. Tips: 10 4 1 5 Suggested Bet: MONEY BOSS (10) to win. Race 4 ELWADDELL (12) was outstanding in the Nights of Thunder final after doing it at both ends, looks very hard to beat. BET ON THE RIVER (2) has the speed to lead and has options from the draw. BLING IT UP (8) was solid last time out, tactically will be fascinating to see how he is driven as he can get fiery but also has brilliant gate speed. GREATGREAT BOULDER (9) is a talented type but nearly impossible to catch. MIDDLEPAGE (11) is an improving type and is a novelty chance along with THE WAND WAVER (4) and BEAT THE BANK (3). Tips: 12 2 8 9 Suggested Bet: ELWADDELL (12) to win. Race 5 SYNCHRONIZER (1) is ideally drawn and has the speed to lead, had no luck last time out after being caught wide but still ran through the line well, appears hard to run down. KINGSEAT (8) is a hard horse to tip on the two runs back but was involved in a race with a ridiculous lead time and a race where he sat nearly 4 wide the trip, he has the ability and wouldn’t surprise me to see him run a big race here. EN PARIANT SUR (5) is consistent, looks a chance to be around the mark. BIG BOZZ (2) is a novelty chance with HEAVY METAL HAMMER (3) and SUKHOVEY WINDSTORM (7). Tips: 1 8 5 2 Suggested Bet: SYNCHRONIZER (1) to win. Race 6 CASSINI BELLE (1) has been racing well and has the draw to lead and win, likely to be short enough but should get the job done. ELEPHANT ROCK (8) is racing better than form reads, can be put into the race and looks a solid place chance. VISITING HOURS (4) will be around the mark in the small field, strong novelty chance. SUKHOVEY WINDCHIME (2) ideally drawn, place chance. Tips: 1 8 4 2 Suggested Bet: ELEPHANT ROCK (8) to place. Market Market
