Matt Young’s Tuesday Gloucester Park Preview Posted on March 18, 2025March 18, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 PINNY NOIR (9) has run into two talented fields and has been solid in defeat on both occasions, can overcome the draw but will be short enough. STELLA DELIZIOSA (2) has a nice draw and has the speed to work to the front and give them something to chase. LIVINITUPERNIE (1) was disappointing last time out but has the better draw and can be placed. THE RIZZLER (5) needs a touch of luck from the draw but comes in with novelty claims. ULTIMATE EVENT (10) and LUZIA (12) both have shown promise and are value for the first fours. Tips: 9 2 5 1 Suggested Bet: PINNY NOIR (9) to win. Race 2 CRUNCHEE (6) looking to break through, she will have to do the work again but looks a strong chance to breeze and win this but is quite short in the market. COURAGE OF LOMBO (3) could be a bold runner in this, can spear across and give them something to chase. OCEANFRONT (11) second up in the state and looks to have plenty of high speed. SHES A MARE (5) has come back well but needs some luck from the draw. AMERICAN MONARCH (8) is in the same boat, looks more a novelty chance. Tips: 6 3 11 5 Suggested Bet: COURAGE OF LOMBO (3) each way. Race 3 RUMBLE STRIP (3) reads up well and performed well in his only run in NZ, has the draw advantage over the main rivals and happy to play on debut. CHARIVARI (8) is very talented and is quite versatile, he can do the work if required, does appear to race better when he is on the speed so likely heads forward. FULL SWING DENARIO (12) was disappointing last time out but has good ability and will be running home well. RAJAH ROCKS (6) has a tricky draw to work with, but he is consistent and a novelty chance. TORREVEAN AMY (1) and LITTLE BITOF FUN (11) look next best in terms of novelty value. Tips: 3 8 12 6 Suggested Bet: RUMBLE STRIP (3) to win. Race 4 JUSTCALLMEMIKI (8) will be winning, simple as that. MONTANA D J (9) was gutsy in victory on Friday night and could’ve made it an interesting race if he didn’t draw to the outside of the favourite, looks a top 2 lock in this race. MASTER LEIGHTON (1) can hold up early and look for cover and be a good place chance. Novelty chances to UNDER THE ALTA (2) and ROLLINDOWNTHERIVER (3). MEDIEVAL MAN (5) racing well but looks tricky with the map of the race. Tips: 8 9 1 3 Suggested Bet: MASTER LEIGHTON (1) to place. Race 5 EE JAY WHY (1) has been lurking behind the money for her last half dozen starts and just continues to get better, she now has the perfect draw and speed to lead and gets a great opportunity here. FOLLOW MY STRIDE (10) will be breathing fire behind, she was good on Friday night and if the gaps come, she can win the race but looks a fantastic place chance either way. APOLOGIZE (8) has depth in this grade and can run well. ZUEDE (2) likely goes three back the pegs and will need some luck. RONA MAY (3) is short enough in the market, will improve off the first up effort. Tricky draws for LUKES MISTAKE (5) and MEGA MACH (6) to overcome. Tips: 1 10 8 6 Suggested Bet: EE JAY WHY (1) to win. Race 6 TRITTRITTBANGBANG (3) looks to have the speed to get around and lead and on his current form he appears very hard to beat in this. LUCIENNE (1) may try and kick up early, she has improved recently and has drawn to earn again here. STRIKE MASTER (7) is capable, but he always needs some luck and can be quite rocky. I SEE FIRE (10) has improved recently and is a place chance if he can hold a decent position, he is a bit sluggish in the early stages. DON’T GOIN THEWATER (11) and BEALAWYER (6) are next best. Tips: 3 1 7 10 Suggested Bet: TRITTRITTBANGBANG (3) to win. Race 7 MISS UNEEK (6) is a versatile type and won well last time out, this looks no harder and am expecting her to get the job done again here. CHIEF COPY (8) has come back in good form and is showing good depth in his races, will be there at the pointy end. THE BIG KABOOSH (1) looks to have some talent, nice draw and should be respected with the good stable. The Hayden Reeves trio all have novelty claims on their best form, so don’t be afraid to put BLIND EDITION (3), BONNIE PAULINE (4) and SUN AND SAND (5) into your first fours along with CARMELA DOMENICA (10) who has drawn to improve her chances. Tips: 6 8 1 3 Suggested Bet: MISS UNEEK (6) to win. Race 8 STREETS OF STOCKTN (3) trialled up well for this and has had a stable change, Ron Huston does a very good job with his horses, and you must respect the chances of this 2yo tonight. SHES SUPER CHARGED (2) was disappointing last run, but her best is up to these. IKES GOT THE MIKE (6) continues to improve and will be running on well. JENAMI BLASTER (1) trialled up okay and has a good draw and must be respected from the stable. HIGHVIEW ROZI (7) will need to overcome a wide draw and found it tough last time out. Tips: 3 2 6 1 Suggested Bet: STREETS OF STOCKTN (3) to win. Race 9 KVINTET HILL (5) gets in well here, has the handicap advantage but is also having his first standing start, he looked to get a bit keen last week on WA debut, so the stand might be perfect for him to settle well and work into it. PEACHEE (7) was a good win last run, and she continues to improve through the preparation, she will be dangerous. SELLUNE (6) not at his consistent usual self as of late but with a safe getaway can play a part. BEE BEE BEROC (4) is not at his best but can improve in this grade. Tips: 5 7 6 4 Suggested Bet: KVINTET HILL/PEACHEE to Quinella. Market Market
