Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on March 17, 2025March 17, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 CHILLIN (1) has options from the draw and looks well placed to get back into the winners list, he is versatile and should prove the hardest to beat. His main danger is VANDERBILT (8) who will follow him every step of the way, my concern for him is he is a wind-up horse, and the sprint lane might not suit him. CHASING HILL (6) is improving and looks suited to this grade, should run well. TORPEDO ROCK (9) needs some speed on but appears a novelty chance with MAJOR JAY (2) Tips: 1 8 6 9 Suggested Bet: CHILLIN (1) to win. Race 2 FRANCO ECUADOR (6) drops in grade massively and should be winning this race, he looks a multi builder for the day. IDEAL MUSCLE (4) returns from a break and has a nice draw, and will no doubt be ready to go but this looks a challenging assignment for him, he looks more of a place chance. ALTA FREEWAY (2) is in top form, but this is harder, can lead early and looks a novelty chance. BRULEE (5) and GALAXY WARRIOR (8) look next best in terms of a novelty perspective. Tips: 6 4 2 5 Suggested Bet: FRANCO ECUADOR (6) to win. Race 3 HUGOTASTIC (9) looks a smart type, he is trialled up superbly and has strings to his bow, he should get the job done at the shorts. NO NONEY (5) has the draw advantage and looks very likely to find the top, from there he will run a bold race. OVERLY EXCITED (7) is in top form but will have to do the work in the race and it might look a bit challenging against these nice types. AMARETTO ANGEL (2) is a novelty chance with ROCK ROSIE ROCK (6), TOMMY PRICE (8) and UNDER THE STARZZZ (12) Tips: 9 5 7 12 Suggested Bet: 9/5/7 to Trifecta. Race 4 MADAM PUBLISHER (6) returns, and she was a first class three-year-old filly, she looks hard to beat on return and am very excited to see what she can do this preparation. LONGREACH BAY (5) equalled the track record last week and has tremendous early speed, looks a big chance to cross and run a bold race. THE BEACH MASTER (4) was brave in defeat last time out, has good early speed and can get into a good position. ARIONROCK (1) has a nice draw but will have early challengers to fend off, think he’s opened short enough. GREVIS (2) is capable but had a flat campaign last time in. CORDERO (9) will be running on well, just needs a genuine tempo. Tips: 6 5 4 1 Suggested Bet: MADAM PUBLISHER (6) to win. Race 5 BLAZE AWAY (12) has had a couple of tough runs, goes up a short quote but at his best he looks the one to beat. RONALD SCOTT (10) is versatile and has good depth, takes a little while to balance up but looks the main danger. AT THE POINTY END (7) looks more of a novelty chance from the wide draw along with MYDADTHETERROR (5) who won well last run but has an awkward draw to overcome. ISLAND TEE REX (3) and MY LITTLE BIG MAN (8) are the roughies to include in to your first 4’s. Tips: 12 10 7 5 Suggested Bet: BLAZE AWAY/RONALD SCOTT to Quinella. Race 6 STENO (3) is born to run; she is a speedy mare who will cross and lead and run as quickly as she wants. Could give the track record a run for its money if they are that way inclined. She should win all things being equal. PENNY BLACK (7) looks to have come back in wonderful form, she can do the work in the race, and I think this could be her breakout performance but looks hard to win, nevertheless. NULLARBOR NAVAJO (1) is racing well, and this is a good draw, she may be a bit to close to the speed, but she can run into the money. AARDIEBYTHESEASIDE (9) is going to find this very difficult on return, she is classy, but she will need to be next level. WONDERFUL TO FLY (6) will be running on, has gone up a silly price. Tips: 3 7 1 9 Suggested Bet: NULLARBOR NAVAJO (1) to place. Race 7 MINSTREL (5) was brilliant on return and has the depth to overcome the draw, likely heads to the breeze and they will run some time in this. MAGNIFICENT STORM (2) returns, and we know how good this bloke is, he will likely lead the race and run some good sections but first up after such a long time so he might need this run. OTIS (3) caught my eye in the Pinjarra Cup, he looks likely to get a soft run and be dangerous for the placings late, same can be said for MACHNIFICENT (4) who is racing in good form. SANGUE REALE (1) looks a place hope from the good draw and comes in fitter. Looks tougher for the outside runners. VENTURA (9) is talented and can get into the novelties, but he is short enough. Tips: 5 2 3 4 Suggested Bet: OTIS (3) to place. Race 8 Open race. PAY HOMAGE (11) trialled up well and can be a hard to horse to follow but at the double figure quote, I am happy to play this horse at the longer odds-on ability alone. CONTROL QUEEN (3) looks to have the speed to potentially cross, she has upside but is still learning the racing caper. MAJOR BLUE EYES (5) was ok on return, can improve here. STARLIGHT SONG (7) was good last time out but it’s a tough draw even with his gate speed he will have to burn the candle at both ends. VYBRANT (1) is always a chance to earn, but the early speed is a big concern for her. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (8) and DEVILS COURAGE (10) are first four players. Tips: 11 3 5 1 Suggested Bet: PAY HOMAGE (11) each way. Market Market
