Matt Young’s Tuesday Bunbury Preview Posted on February 25, 2025February 25, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SWEET DUNCAN (11) has been racing consistently and strikes a suitable race, he will have to come from back in the field, but I think he can achieve that and go close to winning. PAY HOMAGE (1) returns and has the good draw, he was performing well in maiden company but can be a little iffy off the arm so if he can settle close enough, he can run a bold race. CONTROL QUEEN (5) can be a bit hit and miss but has some early speed, if she could work to the lead she could run a bold race. COUNT BOSCAR (6) has put up a couple of nice runs since changing stables and should be kept safe at odds. RIGGERS RIVER (9) closed off nicely last time out and that could work out to be a good form race going forward. VYBRANT (10) is capable but needs some luck. Don’t be afraid to play wide in early quaddie’s. Tips: 11 1 6 9 Suggested Bet: COUNT BOSCAR (6) each way. Race 2 FRANKIE J HOLDEN (6) was a bold return with a strong victory, he has the draw advantage over his main rival and can be driven like the best horse and should be fitter after the first up win, go close. RONALD SCOTT (7) is capable in his own right; he has a few tricks but overall, he will run a bold race. LITTLE BITOF FUN (5) is a novelty chance, third up into the preparation. MYDADTHETERROR (9) is a chance, should follow through nicely. LUHRSY (3) can be placed but has gone up in grade here. Tips: 6 7 5 9 Suggested Bet: FRANKIE J HOLDEN (6) to win. Race 3 ARETHA (1) has good form from the East and has a lovely draw off the back of a couple of decent trials, looks very hard to beat here but will be a good things price. REG LAWSON (6) can do some work in his races and stick on well; this looks a suitable grade. DISPATCHER (2) is always a place chance. FUNKY MUSIC (5) you can forget her last effort, overall, she has been consistent for a while now and is a novelty chance with STAPLETON (8) who has the draw and JORDANO (10) Tips: 1 6 2 8 Suggested Bet: REG LAWSON (6) to place. Race 4 LORD PUBLISHER (3) is racing in wonderfully consistent form and looks the leader here, he was a good winner last time out and can go on with it here, hard to beat. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (7) has won his last two and is versatile, can overcome the draw and run well again. RELLIM (5) was solid in his comeback although finishing in 9th, he will be further improved fitness wise and looks a strong chance to fill the minors. LONGREACH BAY (6) has plenty of early speed and is a solid chance if he can cross, his winning chances appear to depend on that. Tips: 3 7 5 6 Suggested Bet: LORD PUBLISHER (3) to win. Race 5 MASTER LEIGHTON (3) looks perfectly placed here, he has good early speed and has been racing against stronger opposition on Friday night metropolitan events, I can see him running to the top here and I think he will win from that position. SWEET SASSYMOLASSY (1) was better last time out and stuck it out soundly, has early speed and can be placed in this. SYNCHRONIZER (4) was solid last time out and can run well again. TA IN ADVANCE (7) drops in grade but it’s a tricky draw to overcome for him. LIGHTFOOT LEIGH (5) and ISLAND TEE REX (8) are both first up for a little while and am happy to watch them tonight, both are capable but may need a hit out. Tips: 3 7 1 4 Suggested Bet: MASTER LEIGHTON (3) to win. Race 6 BATAVIA STORM (6) was solid in defeat in his last couple of races and has that early speed to put him on the lead here and from there he should go very close. JILL MACH (9) comes in fresh but drops in grade and can be versatile, she might need the run but expecting her to go well here. SAGATIOUS (2) has been unlucky as of late and has more top end speed than his stablemate DUNAMIS (1) who has been racing consistently. THE FREELANCER (10) will be running on well. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (8) and RODGER JAMES (3) are both novelty chances with their recent form lines. Tips: 6 9 2 10 Suggested Bet: BATAVIA STORM (6) to win. Race 7 SELLUNE (3) has a reasonable draw over the short course and has been racing against the strongest of trotters in recent runs, he is also better suited to the mobile and looks hard to beat here. CYCLONE KADABRAMELIA (2) has the high speed to lead and run a solid mile here but there could be some pressure for her. GRAND MAJESTIC BELLS (4) has a lot of upside but she has got a few tricks. PEACHEE (7) can be suited back to a mobile and not having to come off a handicap, she isn’t at her best and looks more a novelty chance. MRIYA DREAM (5) and BEE BEE BEROC (6) can be the injection of speed into the race. Tips: 3 2 4 7 Suggested Bet: SELLUNE (3) to win. Market Market
