Matt Young’s Saturday Bunbury Preview Posted on May 28, 2026May 29, 2026 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 SIR ALEC WHITBY (4) absorbed a heap of pressure last time out and battled on strongly, looks hard to beat in this and deserves a win. THUNDER WARRIOR (5) was decent on return, tricky draw to work with but the pint-sized pony will be fitter and running home strongly. PAPPINBARRA LADY (3) is racing with consistency but hasn’t been leaping off the page to have a bet on, will be close enough on the way home. PRINCESS AVIATOR (6) was sound on return, had the perfect run but only battled on, will be fitter and running on in this. ALTA GABBANA (1) is ideally drawn and is a novelty chance with BOUNCE BACK BUDDY (8) Tips: 4 5 6 3 Suggested Bet: SIR ALEC WHITBY (4) to win. Race 2 MAJOR MOVES (4) should be in for a solid preparation after some good runs last time in, should have matured a bit more and will develop into a nice horse, hard to beat on return. SIZZLE ORO (7) is a little wayward but has ability, seems to have strings to his bow and should run well here. MISS BEJEWLED (6) is a horse I’ve got plenty of time but just needs a touch of luck from the draw. SOME LINE (11) will be running on, like the way that he has returned. PERFECT MIKI (10) steps up in grade but appears a nice type on the last win. BOUGIE (1) is a novelty chance with ZILLIONAIRE (3) and IN FULL FLIGHT (12). Tips: 4 7 6 11 Suggested Bet: MAJOR MOVES (4) to win. Race 3 ELITE FLEET (8) is a nice type on return and has the benefit of a sole back line runner and can pick and choose where to push off and settle in the run and will be very hard to beat. BEAT THE BANK (1) has the nice draw and is on the quick backup, holds the key to the race in many ways. FOLLOW ROCKNROLL (4) is racing well, and the small field suits his high speed and will be hitting the line well. LENORA JANE (2) could get a soft run and is suited to that level, keep safe at value. ARIONROCK (7) needs some tempo on but will storm home. Tips: 8 4 1 2 Suggested Bet: ELITE FLEET (8) to win. Race 4 Open race. SUPREMEDREAM (1) was beaten on her merits last time out but will continue to improve with more experience, could open short enough because of the draw. HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) will be hoping it looks to lead as she can relish the role as swooper from behind the leader, will be dangerous. LOVE DEVINE (2) has plenty of early speed and may have a look for the top, solid enough return but will be close enough either way. WICKED LOVER (6) has ability but can mix her form, she will be considered a solid chance but would like to see it first. SOHO CONFIDENTIAL (5) could improve second up, nothing went right first up and wouldn’t be surprised to see an improvement. Novelty chances to KARAOKE STAR (4), IM ROCKIN ROD (7) and ISLAND TEE REX (12). Tips: 8 1 6 2 Suggested Bet: HONOUR THE EAGLE (8) each way. Race 5 JAMIE KIM (6) is back in winning form, and this class looks suitable to him, has options and will run a bold race in this. MAJOR DALTON (3) hasn’t had much luck lately and am expecting a spike in form with this race, won’t be far away. MADAM TIGER (8) is ready to run a big race, and this class is suitable but do prefer her on speed. REDDY TO FLY (7) has had more than enough opportunities. ICANPLAY (2), THERE AND THEN (1) both can feature from their respective draws. CHALKY WHITE (4) will be close enough and could be dangerous late. Tips: 6 3 4 8 Suggested Bet: JAMIE KIM (6) to win. Race 6 COPPER HEAD LADY (5) is hard to go past on her history; she is highly talented and anywhere near her best would see her win this. MANHATTAN RUBY (4) was disappointing in terms of what I expect of her last time out, she got a soft lead and first quarter but couldn’t capitalise, her best is right up there. SWITCH BLADE (2) is a consistent horse and should be close enough with a good test for ULTIMATE ZIPPER (1) who is only lightly raced. SWIZZLESTICK (7) is a novelty chance from the wide gate. Tips: 5 4 2 1 Suggested Bet: COPPER HEAD LADY (5) to win. Race 7 Not a lot of exposed form in this race so must read between the lines a bit. BLIND EDITION (6) isn’t a prolific winner but think his last few have been good. JACK MANNIX (4) is ready to win but can do things wrong so can be hard to catch but will be dangerous if he does it correctly. GALEOCERDO CUVIER (7) is going to have to do the work from the wide gate but is a one paced type, likely to be put into at some stage and is a winning chance. GEARSINAWHIRL (1) has the nice draw but prefer at shorter. THE ULTIMATE BEACH (5) needs to be cuddled up and will be running home well. AGENT ANDY (8) not the worst in this. Tips: 6 4 5 7 Suggested Bet: BLIND EDITION (6) each way. Market Market
