Matt Young’s Monday Pinjarra Preview Posted on November 17, 2025November 17, 2025 | Posted by Matt Young Race 1 Open trot with a lot of interest around ULTIMATE TESS (3) who does read up well for this from the East but was in a bad mood in a recent stand trial at Pinjarra which is also tricky to overlook, could come up short and I’m going to go with the stablemate ARISTOTLE (7) from the wider gate but he is getting closer and looks a solid chance to break through. ELISH STAR (1) has the draw and likes to lead but is finding it hard to win. LAVRADORE (2) needs to get to the rail but shouldn’t be far away in an earning capacity. ALDEBARAN JENSEN (9) creates interest and should be kept safe. Tips: 7 3 1 9 Suggested Bet: ARISTOTLE (7) to win. Race 2 LOU LAMOUR (7) will come charging out and looking for the top and he has been found wanting a few times when used off the gate but willing to give him another chance as this race is at the mile distance and he could be sharper at the shorter trip. AMERICAN MAJOR (1) disappointed as a beaten favourite last time out but has ability, could be an improver. KOOJAN (3) is improving but disappointed last run, expecting a sharp improvement in this. ALWAYS CHANGIN (8) has ability and the tempo could suit, he’s an outside chance with novelty hopes to BUT JOE (2) and ULTIMATE EVENT (5). Tips: 7 1 3 8 Suggested Bet: LOU LAMOUR (7) to win. Race 3 FLOAT MY BOAT (8) is knocking loudly on the door, his two runs back from a freshen up have been good in both performance and in times, this looks a strong race for him to break through. MONTERIO (6) is a horse who can go the times and look sharp, the draw is a bit tricky but expect him to be right in this and could be some value. ATHREESHOTEAGLE (3) has good early speed and could spice up the novelties if he can get close to the speed. BOOM IT UP (4) is capable but lacks a bit of tactical speed and ELVIRA JANE (5) and CRUNCH THE NUMBERS (7) have awkward draws to overcome. Tips: 8 6 3 5 Suggested Bet: MONTERIO (6) each way Race 4 HES NEVER BEEN BETA (6) has had excuses since returning and strikes a suitable race with the main man back in the gig in Gary Hall Jnr he can get the job done here. MEDIEVAL MAN (7) returns and this class suits, obviously a slight query being first up but expecting him to be sharp at his return. LADY VIOLETTA (1) has the nice draw and has decent gate speed, will be cheeky if able to hold up. DOURADO (5) returns and is a speedy type but it’s a been a long time away for him so he might need a run or so to hit his straps. BETTOR MOVE ALONG (3) and ALFA PRINCE (8) novelty chances. Tips: 6 7 5 1 Suggested Bet: HES NEVER BEEN BETA (6) to win Race 5 BLOCKJORG (2) comes in fresh but has plenty of gate speed and the distance suits, looks likely to bully her way to the top and run a big race. BETTERTHAN SECRET (3) loves this distance and shouldn’t be far away map wise, she has been mixing er form recently but expecting her to go well here. MISTER KOPA (1) nicely drawn and can be close enough to run a better race. HARRYS A ROCKSTAR (8) gets a soft draw to be close enough, he will be winding up late. GHOSTWRITER (9) is capable and the draw gives him a chance. JINGLING JEWELS (10) I’d prefer off a front row draw and the map looks awkward for the consistent THEYCALL ME STOOGE (6). Tips: 2 3 8 1 Suggested Bet: BLOCKJORG (2) to win. Race 6 PRINCESS AVIATOR (6) caught the eye with a trial performance and then a solid second after that, this grade looks to suit and she has good closing speed, will go close. THREE FLAMES (5) looks the big danger but has had a few opportunities, sure to be in the thick of it again. LUCK FROM ABOVE (1) could be an improver, has shown some ability and has the nice draw, this looks easier than most recent assignment. OUR SERAPHINA (4) was in that same race and was first up, should be fitter and an improver here. ULTIMATE SASS (3) one to consider at odds. Tips: 6 5 1 4 Suggested Bet: PRINCESS AVIATOR (6) to win. Race 7 Plenty of speed on in this. BEALAWYER (10) could be well suited and wasn’t beaten far last time out, he can work into this and with the early burn it could suit a back marker, go well. DENNINGTON HEIGHTS (4) looks the most likely leader early and should give a bold sight. HOTFOOT IT (5) and STRAYLYA (7) both solid chances if they could find the rails but with the draw disadvantage their tasks look more challenging. JAMIE KIM (8) will be hoping for some luck and being already in a trailing position he will be very dangerous if he gets out in time. DEE JAYS BIG BOY (6) a chance with YOU FLY WITH ME (9). Tips: 10 8 4 5 Suggested Bet: BEALAWYER (10) each way. Race 8 HEAVENLY BLISS (1) burnt hard early last time out and was beaten up the sprint lane by a consistent performer, races at the mile again and has the draw, the speed and looks a potentially easier assignment, should go very close to winning here. STIRUP IRON JACK (6) could head forward and stick on, likely improver in this. TRITTRITTBANGBANG (7) also has early speed but looks challenging from the wider gate. GEARSINAWHIRL (2) is a novelty chance if he can get the good position as IDEALINCIDER (8) can be moderate away. VYBRANT (3) is a novelty chance with CINDYS SECRET (9), KARAOKE STAR (10) and WANDERING GIRL (12) who was solid last time out. Tips: 1 6 2 10 Suggested Bet: HEAVENLY BLISS (1) to win. Race 9 HONOUR THE EAGLE (4) is racing well and has good early speed, could burn on the lead and has options from there, looks to continue her good form. CLASSICAL ELLIE (10) has come back well this time in and will be there in the money again but needs a little bit of tempo on to suit her. SOMETHING CERTAIN (6) is capable but went into the wilderness for a few runs, has had a freshen up and can improve here. DIAMOND BAY (3) rises in grade. OUR LILILOU (9) is a horse I prefer on speed and doesn’t look like she will get that luxury today, will be running on. BE HOME SOON (2) caught the eye last time out and looks to be heading in the right direction. Tips: 4 6 10 2 Suggested Bet: HONOUR THE EAGLE (4) each way. Market Market
