Race 1

GALEOCERDO CUVIER (10) has got a few strings to his bow in this grade and although I would much prefer him off the front row and leading, I do believe he can work forward into a strong position and be hard to hold out. VYBRANT (8) racing well but she is one dimensional, looks a strong player. CODENAME ELLIOT (6) is ready to run a big race and this grade suits. SPEED FORCE (7) and MAJOR BUZZ (9) both novelty chances at odds. WELLOILED (2) can hop and skip, so this track isn’t ideal for her.

Tips: 10 8 6 9

Suggested Bet: GALEOCERDO CUVIER (10) each way.

Race 2

POCKETFUL OF OPALS (8) is back to her better form and can be driven like the best horse in this race, looks hard to beat and expecting a bold performance. JOEY JAMES (3) has a similar form line and looks likely to head to the lead and give them something to catch. MISTER KOPA (2) could provide some resistance, has been racing soundly and draw lifts the chances. TEMPT THE STARS (5) and CLASSNSMART (8) look next best.

Tips: 8 3 2 5

Suggested Bet: POCKETFUL OF OPALS (8) to win.

Race 3

DEE JAYS BIG BOY (6) can do the work in this race and looks a major player, he hasn’t had a great deal of luck and this looks more suitable, has the fitness on his side. WATCH ME WAVE (2) has a nice draw and has shown promise, comes in first up and that could play a part. IM BOSS (7) has been racing decent enough and can play a part in the novelties. KOPPER KOTE (8) suited at this class and can improve. ESCAPEFROMREALITY (3) hasn’t had much luck as of late and some speed underneath her early and stable mate DIAMOND DANCE (4) is a novelty chance. Good competitive race.

Suggested Bet: DEE JAYS BIG BOY (6) to win.

Race 4

SOUNDS LIKE FUN (4) has been racing well and has got plenty of early speed, major player to work to the lead and from there will be very hard to run down. SUNDANCER RAINBOW (1) has a lovely draw and is ready to win but is a hand up horse so tactically she is fascinating. SWANBOURNE SPUNK (7) is racing without much luck, rails will best his best friend and looks a novelty chance at odds. TROIS FONTAINE (10) is saved up for one run and will need some tempo on, racing well though. AMARETTO ANGEL (8) will be running on and novelty chances with SUN AND SAND (2) and GOTA GOOD WARHOL (6).

Tips: 4 1 7 10

Suggested Bet: SOUNDS LIKE FUN (4) to win.

Race 5

CABERNEIGH (6) looks perfectly placed, battled on bravely last time out against metro company and has strings to his bow, very hard to hold out. BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) is racing well and has options from the draw. Expecting a better performance from DEL BOCAVISTA BAY (3) who is much better when he is closer to the speed. RECOVER LOVER (1) is a novelty chance from the draw. SWEET IVY (7) will be getting out late and running on strongly.

Tips: 6 2 7 3

Suggested Bet: BETTERTHAN SECRET (2) to place.

Race 6

RODGER JAMES (8) hasn’t had a great deal of luck recently and will settle close enough but has come up short enough in the market. VELVET SHADOW (3) hit the line well his last couple and this grade suits, expecting a decent run. INFRINGEMENTNOTICE (1) has the nice draw on return and has early speed. STEP IT UP (6) needs to lead to win for mine and the draw hurts her chances. SANFORD BART (7) will be better for the last run and is capable in this grade.

Tips: 8 3 7 1

Suggested Bet: VELVET SHADOW (3) each way.

Race 7

WAVE REBELLION (2) won well last time out and the form line around the win has been decent. Has options from the draw and looks a progressive type, very hard to beat. UP AND ALIVE (6) has come back to her better form and looks the main danger, she beat the favourite on New Years Eve at Bunbury. CIGANDA (3) was in that same race on NYE and did things wrong on that occasion, has shown good promise and must be respected. HEADLINE ADDA (1) can improve from the draw.

Suggested Bet: WAVE REBELLION (2) to win.
