Race 1

Good competitive race here. ALTA TRIBUTE (12) has impressed me for a period of time, and this could suit here, he savaged the line at the back end of the Members Sprint last week and this distance and map could suit, go close. MIGHTY RONALDO (7) should be ready to run a big race, could charge forward and if he led this, he would take all kinds of running down. Same can be said for HOTLY PURSUED (6) who will head forward as well, needs to lead to win this. BROUGHT TO LIGHT (3) rises in grade but might be given his chance to prove himself, will be a good test. CHACO EAGLE (1) a novelty chance with LITTLE DARLING (8) and OTIS (9) who are both drawn poorly.

Suggested Bet: ALTA TRIBUTE (12) each way.

Race 2

FAKENIT (3) has the dominating draw on return and should bounce on the lead and be very hard to beat, she is a seasoned top-class mare who will get the distance and it’s hard to see her being beat. WAVE REBELLION (10) returns and goes well fresh; she will need clear air in the final lap but has a brilliant turn of foot and will be thundering home with even luck. ITS MAA TIME (11) hit the line well on return and has the depth to overcome the draw and be put into it, strong top 3 player. REINETTE (7) returned nicely for the new stable, she has a difficult draw but should bounce off that well, needs some luck from the draw. RUBY LOVERA (8) is a novelty chance with DELULU (12) and CIGANDA (1) is nicely drawn but the distance could come into play if the gross time is solid.

Suggested Bet: WAVE REBELLION (10) to place.

Race 3

CAPTAIN STIRLING (11) is a tough horse who can watch things unfold early before being put into the race, he will be right in the thick of it in this and being third up into the preparation should see him close to being spot on. MAJOR DISCO (1) is consistent and has the nice draw, has the speed to lead and might look to hold over LAZI DAIS (2) who returns and is highly talented but his trial where he did run the race upside down was just ok because he got noticeably tired late, has also mixed his gate speed from low draws before, he is a bit of an unknown coming into this. SEBASTIAN JAMES (10) has the perfect draw to bring him into the race, should get a good run and be a top 4 player. Novelty chances to LOU LAMOUR (4) and BELLY UP (7).

Suggested Bet: CAPTAIN STIRLING (11) to win.

Race 4

Cracking race. WHEELSOFORTUNE (1) was a great effort on return and has good gate speed and is a very good front running type, will be pressured throughout but appears to thrive on it and will be hard to run down. IDEAL BEACH (6) has turned the corner at the right time, eye catching two starts ago and a brilliant win in the heat, may have to do it from the breeze again. EL MYSTRO (4) was outstanding in his victory at Pinjarra and so was his trial, he was disappointing in his run at Gloucester Park, that is my only concern with him going into this as he is going to map well. BETTOR BEHAVE (10) couldn’t have asked for a better draw to suit his racing style, solid place claims in this. TRICKY TEXAS (12) is flying and will be running on from the back of the field; a genuine tempo can see him get into the top 4. HE IS TALKING (3) racing well but could be one spot too far back and the map looks awkward for WAKE UP GEOFF (8).

Suggested Bet: WHEELSOFORTUNE (1) to win.

Race 5

SOVEREIGN JEWEL (1) gets the draw and has good speed, second up will be beneficial after being a beaten favourite first up, looks to lead in this with no sprint lane in operation and she will be hard to run down but the last run will scare off a few. MISS BEJEWELED (11) has been in top form and looks to get a cracking run throughout, will be close enough as she follows JUSTASMOOTH MIKI (2) who will look to hold a forward position and run a big race. MAAS ATTACK (10) was a good effort last run and has drawn to be close enough and get that soft run. A PRECIOUS GEM (4) has good early speed and may try to get forward; it’s a tricky map for her either going forward or back. SWEETER THE BETTOR (5) is in top form but faces a difficult map from the draw. SKYHIGH ADDA (7) was impressive in her win and has proven that’s she’s up to these but faces a difficult draw.

Suggested Bet: MISS BEJEWELED (11) each way.

Race 6

Barrier draw has made this a fascinating contest. SEASIDE SERENADE (2) broke the 2130m duck in the heat winning well when working to the top, looks the likely leader in this but will be met with some solid pressure and I have concerns if she can handle that and finish it off late. NEVELE ARMA (3) is a strong filly who will be up outside them and applying some pressure and keeping them honest, will be very strong to the line and has proven her worth. ILIKEITLIKETHAT (11) will be hoping the tempo is genuine and is going to be right there in the thick of it and she will be strong to the line, go well. SCANDALEYES (10) can be driven for one run and with even luck will be sizzling home. SOME DANCER (1) is a novelty chance by virtue of the draw. NORTH CAROLINA (9) is a must for quaddie’s and maybe have something small to win, she is very smart and the tempo can suit.

Suggested Bet: ILIKEITLIKETHAT (11) each way.

Race 7

IGNITE THE FURNACE (1) gets the draw and will be looking to be pushed hard off the arm to lead, his run in the pearl classic from barrier nine was outstanding and won the heat with ease, looks very hard to beat if he can lead. HEZ THE BOSS (4) has early speed and is versatile and commands respect as he has been the benchmark, will go down swinging if he does go down. TERBIUM (10) looks to have ability and is ideally drawn; times were against him last run and is a place chance. IDEAL WHISPER (7) is very smart but has drawn in no mans land depending on what happens early, good enough to overcome but it does look awkward. ULTIMATE SHOT (12) is a top four player with JETPACK (11) and BENOA BAY (9) who needs plenty of luck but is talented.

Tips: 1 4 10 7

Suggested Bet: IGNITE THE FURNACE (1) to win.

Race 8

SEASPIRIT (2) will be looking for the top and is racing well, has plenty of high speed and may look to hold in this, last few runs have been good from awkward positions against the speed. MODEST MOLLY (3) is talented but may have to do some work in this, good test for her but she’ll be right in this. LIGHTONTHEHILL (1) is ideally drawn and looks a strong chance, broke gear last run but was a good effort two starts ago, could be dangerous in the final 400m. BONEBUSTER (5) has shown good promise but faces a tricky draw, a spike in his form wouldn’t shock in this. RIP TIDE (6) might push the button early but can get fiery therefore could be a lower percentage move if he does get upset. ELPLAYER (7) and ELQUESTRO (11) both novelty chances.

Suggested Bet: LIGHTONTHEHILL (1) each way.

Race 9

Good competitive race. EL RAES GIRL (11) should bounce well off the last run, wasn’t beaten far and drawn to follow through but does follow out a moderate beginner, has strings to her bow and will run well. TEXAS STORM (5) will take all kinds of beating if he can find his way to the top, stretched Havtimeformiki in near track record time at Northam two starts ago. IDEAL AN ACE (8) should bounce off the return run nicely, will have to do some work in the race. LIVY JAY (3) hold the key to the race, likely to burn to the top and then has options but is an each way chance. NOD FROM ABOVE (1) has the speed to be prominent early and look to take cover, place chance. IN FULL FLIGHT (10) will be running on well if the gaps open early enough.

Suggested Bet: EL RAES GIRL (11) to win.

Race 10

Open race to finish. PRINCE OF TRIBECA (5) is racing well and will be pushing forward and could find the top but even if he doesn’t, looks to map well and that gives extra confidence. MIKI WINDERMERE (9) will push forward and is a rolling type, will keep the race honest. FLOAT MY BOAT (11) will follow through from the back row and is racing well, has a lot of high speed to bring him into the race. COLD HARD CASH (12) needs a genuine tempo but is going well enough to feature and novelty chances to STAR OF ORION (3), DIAMOND WORLD (8) and PRIDDAH (7).
