Harry Buchanan’s Wednesday Greyhound Best Bets Posted on February 28, 2024February 28, 2024 | Posted by TABtouch CANNINGTON Race 2 No. 7 Touch Of Tommy and No. 4 Dozen Staples The 7 has good early dash when he gets the start right. Likes the room to move so wide draw is ok for him. Can go well here. The 4 will run her usual honest race. Was about to land right there last week when one dropped back on her lap. Box isn’t that bad and can figure. Race 5 No. 4 Zinc and No. 7 Maxwell Smart The 4 really disappointed last week but he’s better than that and giving him another chance. Can put these away with a bit more early zest. The 7 won well at Mandurah and has performed well here in the past. Box is suitable and will muster up early here and be a force. Don’t dismiss. Race 7 No. 5 Mustang Timmy and No. 6 Stranger Within The 5 didn’t fire over the 600 last start but the drop back will see a better effort here. Been stepping well and strong through the middle and last sections. The 6 will look to dart up quickly here and cross. Does his best work on the arm and will give a great sight if he leads. Keep him in mind. Race 10 No. 3 Rock Solid Kid and No. 2 Fantasy Lee The 3 has one job and that’s to miss the dog inside him. Slow step would be ideal for him here and he only has to find the fence quickly to be hard to stop. The 2 will show her speed and if she holds the 6 and 8 out then she will get away up the back. Can feel the last little bit but could be hard to catch here. Race 11 No. 3 Fennec Fox Well boxed and gets her chance here. Under rated type who can lead or come from off them and is racing superbly at the moment. Just needs to challenge early and she will keep on coming after that and give a great EW sight. THE MEADOWS Race 3 No. 6 Bun Tornado and No. 2 Cabao Lapis The 6 is improving all the time and while she can’t draw a box lately, this is winnable. EW prospect. The 2 is a strong sprinter on the up and if he gets half a look up the back he will run over these. Follow him for later. Race 4 No. 3 Cabao Kyanite and No. 8 Thestral The 3 another of these powerful Cabao dogs who keeps hitting the frame. Top first up effort here and big improvement to come out of that. Small field suits. As it does for the 8 who starts a strong middle section run and ran a good 3rd here two starts back to warrant thought in this now. Top two prospect. Race 5 No. 5 Moraine Charli Consistent type who has some versatility about her and could get her chance here. Lacks dash but chases hard and works into the races strongly so can figure here with first turn luck. Handles the track as well. Race 10 No. 8 Camp Fire and No. 4 Scott Me The 8 has plenty on these at his best. Box is fine and he runs good time when given clear running which he will get here with the small field. The 4 is a smokie’s hope if the 8 makes an error and is another suited by the small field. Watch for him to rail home well also. Market Market
