Slow starts and traffic have been costly at her only two runs here, but has no excuses this time. Needs to step better to get some room and can go well. The 5 was an excellent run last start. Missed the kick but made a fast run to recover and place behind a sharp winner. Has shown he can step and seems to like this circuit. Obvious threat. Race 6 No. 2 Confetti Emoji and No. 8 Slowly Drifting Like it’s kennel mate in the previous, the 2 gets one more crack. The moderate getaways have been her undoing off middle draws but has a much better box this time. Could land close and would be hard to beat if she does. The 8 ran a decent race last start from the same draw. Seems to appreciate some room and a repeat will see him in the finish again. Race 8 No. 8 West On Gecko and No. 5 Ohana Brockie If the 8 could hand pick his box every week, this is the draw he would be setting up shop in. Perfectly placed out wide and has a lethal record of these wider boxes. Can step and sweep up and if he assumes control at any stage, this will be over. The 5 was ultra impressive last start over the 400m. He has 460m form back in Victoria and has an electric turn of foot just after box rise. The corner start his only issue, but he could surprise big time here. Race 9 No. 7 Grass Patch and No. 8 Miss Valentine There can be no more chances for the 7 if she can’t win this. Undoubtedly the best dog in the race and knows how to handle an outside box. Can and should lead and that should be it against this lot. No more if she fails this time. The 8 can surprise here with her box manners and early speed. May possibly better suited to Cannington at this stage, but the trip is ideal and she could give a sight here if she punches up early. Worth a save. Race 10 No. 1 Flying Goldwing and No. 2 All Over Kora The 1 is unbeaten off this box. Can step and go fast and she gets her chance to find the arm this time. That would see her very hard to run down. The 2 has some ability and gets some easier company here. If she can punch up early and land in a spot , she will be strong to the line. Don’t dismiss her as this is her chance. Market Market
